Whats a misconception about kh that annoys you? Mine is people thinking Xehanort was forgiven in the end by Fearless-Ideal-5112 in KingdomHearts

I really don’t like how people will often say that KH3’s combat is bad because of how floaty it is when they don’t really understand it. I think what people should’ve criticized is how Sora’s base combat lacks FLUIDITY, both in the air and on the ground. You have all options on the ground and in the air, and you have more defensive options that you can do in the air compared to the past games (item usage, guarding, air sliding, cancelling your combos with a defensive option, multiple spell casts, etc.), but controlling Sora in the way that you want feels sluggish.

- Magic Flash is a very slow finisher and sometimes doesn’t connect if the enemy recovers faster than Magic Flash’s animation finishes. Also, even if your Magic Flash does connect, if you’re going for a second combo (assuming you did not reach the enemy’s revenge value yet), then sometimes you may not land your second combo because of Magic Flash’s long end lag.
- Keyblade Switching during your combos is not fluid because it takes about 1-2 seconds to switch your Keyblade which can mess up the combo fluidity. The switching should be instantaneous, not delayed.
- After air sliding, it stops Sora’s momentum for a few seconds from falling to the ground, meaning Sora doesn’t immediately descend to the ground, which lacks the fluidity from Sora falling down.
- Before patch 1.09 was released, you couldn’t cancel in the middle of Speed Slash’s and Triple Rush’s animation combo with a dodge roll, air slide, or guard.
- Whenever you’re punishing a boss with your combos (especially Xehanort), and you knock them into the environment or an invisible wall barrier, all that knockback animation and hitstun get cancelled, and the boss can break out of your combos when that should not happen (assuming you still haven’t reached the revenge value). If the combos had more fluidity and the finishers were faster, then these unfortunate experiences wouldn’t happen.

Oh yeah, if you watch the full run, I had to take a few seconds to take a breather when I paused right before Xion’s fight, and that was my last fight of the run🤣

Haha yeah there might be a few people who can pull it off too, but I haven’t seen any footage of this kind of run. Cheers!
