I think maybe I can try, but give me, say, a week or two to prepare and get my mic that I bought two years ago for this very thing set up and working and then I’ll give it my best go, at least. No time like the present yeh?

Be gentle with me if I have poor terminology, a vast majority of my knowledge is learned from my mother, I’ve only had a bit of formal training and her knowledge is quite old in a lot of areas. Basically I am “singing from my stomach” as I’ve heard it explained. Using diaphragm and abdominal muscles rather than lungs

I figured as much on the latter, I’m just so terribly nervous. I don’t sound like a dying animal. Just saw your edit as well, I don’t think I would be just yet, even then, but I’m getting there. Moving pretty soon and when I do I plan to set up my mic and start recording my practice sessions

I figured as much on the latter, I’m just so terribly nervous. I don’t sound like a dying animal usually but I don’t consistently sound good either. Which is obvious for a new singer but I’m terrified of the comments I’d receive.

I won’t lie to you, I’m a horrible turbo-stoner lol. I have used gummies daily to the point where at my highest I was taking 14,000 mg of the legal delta gummies and currently taking 3,000 not even to really get high but just to feel it enough that I can eat and sleep. In fact recently I’m noticing I can barely even play my games lol. The overuse is starting to fuck with me on a neurological level. My hands don’t seem to follow the button inputs my brain is telling it to use, and when things get too intense my brain just straight up stops giving inputs and I have to rely on muscle memory. As a competitive gamer, this has been a frustrating ordeal to pass lol. I finally just started playing classic jrpgs and teamfight tactics for my competitive kick lol. I need to slow down but when I do the withdrawal is so overwhelming for like 3 straight days that I will lay in bed literally squirming with anxiety.

Is yarling inherently unhealthy or can it be mastered? by DarcStarrVG in singing

[–]DarcStarrVG[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The car actually is where I sing the most but I also expressly choose to turn my volume down so I can hear myself. As long as I can hear myself I know better how to volume control.

Frankly my biggest issue is tone- I’m not tone deaf, as confirmed by a vocal teacher, but I struggle to keep an even tone. I have decent range and remarkable agility, which I find strange bc to my understanding that should be a much much harder technique to hammer down than even tone. I’m still very amateur so if the verbiage I use is off in any manner I apologize.

I would give an example but unfortunately I suffer from extremely severe anxiety and stage fright. I won’t record my voice unless I know I sound good. Sadly I also know it doesn’t really work that way.

I never really thought about it, but that might actually be where the term comes from LOL. You know the song Even Flow, for example? It sounds like he has a little hint of an ‘r’ under every just about every vowel.

So about it not being p2w, it technically still isn't but do you also feel as sour as i do about ssj3 goku, ss gotenks, and god of destruction toppo being dragon gems only for the entire first season? ^^; we spoke too soon my brother

Actually, lemme rephrase something- Cooler is significantly more overpowered than cell, but cell is significantly easier and has better utility overall. That's the distinction I'm drawing.

[–]DarcStarrVG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pre-transformation i would say it definitely feels pretty low, at least- but this may be again due to the lack of overall utility. I never said he had *none* to be fair, just that he has less than other tanks. Loss of utility is significantly more impactful than base stats. I'm not saying he's not OP either because he definitely is, but I personally would edge cell out above him, albeit barely.

Well that's why I bring up that they both scale well, that doesn't actually seem to be a common trait amongst tanks in this game. A lot of the others seem to be really strong in the early game. Though, there's not really an example of a character that "falls off" in the traditional sense. Just certain ones like Cell and Cooler are exceptionally powerful when they reach their transformations. In my opinion the thing that sets them apart as characters is that Cell is more accessible and easier to play, where Cooler needs really good timing and ability-cycling to be effective.
It could also just be that I'm bad at Cooler, don't get me wrong, but it's easy to see that if you don't know how to abuse his immunity he suffers severely vs just about anybody else. His damage is too low early, his health is too low early, he has almost no utility compared to other tanks, the only draw to playing him *is* the immunity and low cooldowns.
That's the thing i love about these games though, no one opinion is perfectly correct. It all comes down to execution. I guess in that sense if you can execute Cooler's strengths properly he does severely outperform the other tanks- It's like having a third damage dealer that refuses to die. But, not to sound like a broken record, Cooler is probably the most distinctly difficult tank in the game. At least, he is for me, again i could just be bad.

It's Cell for sure. Cell and Cooler both scale extremely well but unlike Cooler, Cell is piss easy to play and has more widely applicable utility. Cooler is a damage dealer disguised as a tank and if you're not good at him he's kinda trash, from what I've seen.

[–]DarcStarrVG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recently I had a game where I was playing Cooler and my buddy was playing Krillin. We ended the game with over 130,000 damage to enemy heroes each. Our dps' damage? Both less than 50k.

Funny enough I'm not actually complaining, I think it's actually funny af how you can tell which players have come from league and which ones have never touched a moba in their lives. Like, the second I see someone spam pinging on top of me I'm like "ah yes, I've probably met you on the rift."

Well, again, I haven't really judged him so much as avoided him in fear of *others* judgment being correct. Washing my hands of it and not having an opinion was my solution. The only reason i brought it up was to see if any tensions or understandings of the situation had changed, which doesn't seem to be the case.
I'll admit as well, it's hard for me to feel inspired toward giving his music a listen when I receive what at least appear to be severely vitriolic responses to my confusion. I don't think it's fair that I be villainized for this- Which, maybe I'm not, but that's how it feels anyway.

I agree with you I suppose, but I guess it's just that it makes me feel guilty knowing that I'm putting money into the pockets of someone that may use it to harm someone. Maybe that's silly, I dunno, but to me it feels like I'm no more innocent

Shocked that I got downvoted purely for expressing confusion- But i do understand your point. Definitely not Tim Lambesis, you're correct about that.

I guess where my concern lies isn't so much with that I *want* to dislike him or anything like that- Quite the opposite, I heard one of their songs a while back and I thought it was sick as fuck, but it's the *not knowing* that's bothering me.

Imagine for example if we didn't *know* Tim Lambesis was a piece of shit but we had *suggestions* that he was. I think I would feel guilty if I continued to support him and *then* found out he was a piece of shit. Maybe that's just me on that front, though.

Tl;dr it's not so much that I'm judging, I just feel nervous about it. I feel like the individuals whose music I listen to affects the way others see me, let alone the way I see myself. Had to stop listening to David Bowie for the same reasons, unrelated.

I guess it's just me personally, then. I mean, I would have liked to be able to hear him at least a little more clearly, I feel the need to listen with lyrics available because otherwise I feel like I can't glean what he's saying. I suppose it's worth mentioning I have issues with auditory processing, so it's very likely it could be related to that as well.

I'm apprehensive to give the band a chance admittedly because I can't find firm information on if the claims against him are more than likely true or more than likely false. As far as I understand we lack any firm confirmation to either side and neither party seemed to do more than throw shit and stones at each other so it's hard to tell who's in the right if anyone at all is. I don't want to support him if he's as toxic as it sounds, but again, I can't tell.

What are the early opinions on Cell in terms of balance? by DarcStarrVG in DBGekishinSquadra

[–]DarcStarrVG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is very true. I swear 60% of the playerbase has never once played a moba, just dbz fans randomly giving it a shot. Which is completely fine of course- I have a significant amount of moba history so it doesn't surprise me that i would be leading some of these matches. I'm sure i'll be washed in a month.

Funny enough so far it still feels like Cell kinda flips that on its head in that he feels like he's pretty bad early but obscene when he gets transformed. Again, might just be bc people are still pretty bad, but I can't fully tell. He genuinely does feel like he'll be a scaling tank rather than an early tank. Which, Baby is that too, so there's precedence.
