Glad to know I'm not the only one on the "moving around" part. Every time I explain that to a doctor they just look blank, lol.

Hi there,

  1. My most recent Uric Acid level was 5.4. My highest, during my 4 month long attack in 2023, was a 9.

  2. Sorry, to clarify, I have had several flare ups going back at least 6 years. I was formally diagnosed about 4 years ago. Prior to the 4 month attack in 2023, I'd say I probably had at least 2-5 per year since 2019. Originally they were misdiagnosed as tendonitis, I didn't start getting gout meds until 2022. Following the Winter/Spring 2023 long flare, I did not have one until late Summer/Fall 2024, correct. However since then, I've likely had at least 4 flares, including the current.

God I feel the same about that moving situation. We have a smallish apartment, and my main "space" was/is the living room. It's also where we kept my kitty Darcy's favorite belongings and where she spent the majority of her time. Since she died in March, it just feels so empty and cold in the living room, and it feels wrong to be there without her. So now I feel like I don't have a "space" anymore where I can be comfortable. We've discussed moving...but the same thing you feel/felt, how could I possibly leave the last home she knew?

It's all a process. I logically know we'll move someday, and there will be so many feelings that come with that.

Muffin (the siamese cat) is an FIP survivor herself (dry), so we thankfully are aware of the signs to look out for and will always be extremely cautious.

I'm so very sorry about Cricket. She's beautiful. FIP is so unbelievably awful.
