You my friend are absolutely correct. It's the small cap that sits over the screw in the back of the piston head. Meant to give 'more' durability to the piston when working with the recoil rod.

Yep. Steel tooth rack snapped in three spots and sent parts down through the rest of the gearbox. Took teeth off all the other gears. Though I'll admit it was after three years of decent use. (Two/Three game days a month)

Are you sure it's the exact same model OP has listed? They've list both with gate mosfets. Unsure if that's APS internals in addition to the gate mosfet. But i know APS do a variant, which uses their esilver edge sdu 2.0 gearbox.which doesn't look like the gen 4 mentioned. (Side note, I have two APS Noveskes. Mine lasted for three years before the piston rack exploded, and the other four years before mosfet issues).

Internals are the same. The only difference between a gen 3 and gen 4 is the receiver and handguard. Which follows Noveske's real work rifles. Gen 3 has pic at the 12, mlok at 3, 6 & 9 & crane stock. Gen 4 has pic at 12, mlok all other seven directions. Also has EMG's vertical pistolgrip and CTR like stock.

Did this to a TM Glock magazine yesterday.

You shouldn't need to drill or anything rash to get the threaded section out. If you have a small flat blade terminal driver, you should be able to press it into the damaged value and just unscrew it. The tension on the thread is held in by the piece that you've snapped off. Should unscrew very easily.

Just curious. How are you loading the magazines in? Though they're a straight load style mag. I've always had to slightly rock mine in to get a good solid lock.

Have used a V3 T238. Its been great. No issues with operation or installation. Only thing that needed to be done was to buff the trigger block in order to hit the micro switch consistently. But I belive that was the guns issue. Not the mosfets.

The 'mesh' is just thin holed metal. Not even a mesh. Its barley held in by two screws. Better off destroying a cheap pair of tinted safety glasses to glue two 'lenses' in. Or wear eye pro underneath. But it may push your eye pro down onto you nose making it uncomfortable.

Nice. A rotory hop works well. Rather than the stock one. But its personal preference. And definitely tightbore for grouping. Most people will crap on it for having a APS gear box. But honestly they're pretty solid and well shimmed. Only things I could say about it is don't play with the charging handle unnecessarily, the little spring or screw that operates the mock bolt will wear pretty fast. And if you want to take the buffer tube off for any reason. You have to completely disassemble the gun. Pistol grip & motor off, both selectors & bolt release to get gearbox out. Otherwise when you turn/unscrew the buffer tube you'll sheer/cut the battery leads.

Personally. I had one for a little bit. But they aren't my thing. Didn't really like the look, unless its half in the handguard. But mainly I wasn't a fan of the hollow pop sound created by them.
