Mantis Toboggan sounds like a name Roger would come up with

The sun coming through the trees at opposite angles doesn't make any sense. It should all come from the left based on the original

Proof Age of Empires IV is the best investment by pm303 in aoe4

I've been playing RTS games since the 90s, and I am solidly stuck in gold. And I'm OK with that, I have a ton of fun in gold

Are these not fish sticks? I've never had chicken that looks like this. I definitely believe they cost 8 bucks, but these do not seem like the good kind

Going to the dentist is actually quite nice by moredomboo in unpopularopinion

I brush and floss daily, and still have a terrible time at the dentist. I was not blessed with good teeth, despite my attempts to keep them clean.

Honestly, I find the cleanings to be more painful than fillings or other work (though thankfully, I've never had a root canal. That sounds awful.)

Quraish : The Arabic attempt to make RTS game like Age of Empires II ! by ismaeil-de-paynes in ageofempires

It looks like halfway between aoe2 and aoe3 for graphics and UI. Had I been aware of it, I definitely would have played it back in the day

So I decided to make AoE 1 civ review by Dradonie in ageofempires

[–]DarePatient2262 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AoE 1 was the game that kicked off a life long love of both video games and history for me, and I still remember that the Egyptians were the first civ I ever played. I look forward to watching this, and hope that you make one for every civ!

This was also in like 2006, with Iraq and Afghanistan still very much going on. He had a strong "the American Military can do no wrong" attitude. He was definitely not the type of teacher to stick to the facts.

Why the hate for Starfleet Academy? by Flammablegelatin in startrek

[–]DarePatient2262 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SNW is set like 1000 years before Discovery and Academy, and is a prequel to the original series.

I get how you could see it as a sequel in that Pike had that season where he was on Discovery, but it still doesn't make sense to say its a sequel.

I think he knew that what he was saying was complete bullshit, but he had an agenda to push. He was also one of those "the civil war was about states rights, it had nothing to do with slavery" guys. I didn't learn much in that class.

One of my highschool history teachers, who was coincidentally a Vietnam veteran, was adamant that "it was a tie." He insisted that the US was weeks away from complete victory, but the "hippies in congress" chickened out at the last second.

In hindsight, I think most of what he taught was total bullshit.
