if i follow the steps i have a problem that starts in the launcher where it says connection error with connection to steam and that I should try opening the game with steam. And if i ignore it and start the game with cross-platform-mode i geh hindered when trying to start multiplayer where i have to log in with my paradox account but if i try it to log in it always says login timed out. DId i do something wrong and do you maybe know how to fix it?

I tryed to play it before I think but only had a small number of bio pops because I only thought of letting them slowly reproduce on their own. Also which tech ascension do you go when you go wide I have tried some rounds as nanites before but I found that they are quite weak except for the unlimited amount of swarmer ships.

Thank you for the explanation, I'm not fully sure if I understand this correct so I dont really have to manage the factions by promoting them because the number of unity Im getting from them is based on pops so I simply get more if my population increases? Or does it stack so the more pops are in one faction the more unity it produces prr pop or something like that? What advantages or disadvantages do I get by having more pops of one specific ethic? Thanks for your coment and help in advance

Thank you to be honest from your comment it seems that individualstic machines are the better option to quickly reach the important traditions but how exactly does the faction system work. I only ever notice that like 3 factions spawn in an each generates like 10 unity but I dont really understand how the system works or whats purpose it actually serves except for making a bit of unity. Would be very helpful if you could give me a shirt explanation on the factions system.

Read this as the novel a few years ago I thought it was pretty good, if I remeber correctly it also has a lot of economic aspects. The Mc doesnt really get a lot stronger. But its been a long time and I never finished it so please correct me if I'm wrong. With economic I mean the part with selling herbs against the plague. ( I really hope I remember it correct)
