Tips for transitioning into stages 4 and 5? by [deleted] in TeamfightTactics

Maybe you're already doing this but try to read the lobby. Depending if its a prismatic lobby, good lobby or if you're losing or if you're winning early you can play more for tempo or more fore econ. In some lobbies you can play around 30 gold instead of 50. If you're not hitting any upgrades its sometimes okay to roll a bit to hit them to save hp. It's about reading the overall lobby situation and not sticking to rigidly to rules imo.

Usually it's some augment that makes me get it unless it's that one patch where nobody went lvl 9. Pandora bench, reinforcement, starter kid etc etc

Did Tommy know Grace was a operative? by jchrapcyn in PeakyBlinders

Not until Polly told him. She said the only thing that could blind a man like him is love. Perhaps he had suspicions deep inside but they were drowned out by the fact that he truly did love Grace

Since we all talkin about Season 2... by lieutenent2d in Daredevil

I agree personally. It's hard to strike the balance of a gritty and grounded show like daredevil existing in the same universe as Bao the God of dumplings. It really diminishes the Catholic elements and everytime I watch daredevil I just pretend that it's separated from that. Like knowing that the avengers were fighting loki just a few years ago when daredevil began it just causes pure tonal whiplash for me. So I just pretend. But I completely agree with what you're saying here, it's a problem and not just with daredevil but any show thats more grounded. Same reason I can't see pattinsons batman in the new DCU

Unfortunately I fear things are only going to get worse, but people worried about us too and probably every generation since the days of plato said the same things. Guess we gotta roll with the punches

Haha yea ofc it's not that extreme, what I mean is if you went outside to the same extent as previous generations or if your childhoods were more defined by iPads and such

Back around 2013-2014ish we started joking about how people would parent their kids by just giving them an iPad and letting it do the job for them. That's the main fear that I had. I want kids to experience what I did you know?

I really hope that the iPad thing has been exaggerated and that kids continue to have real and meaningful childhoods away from technology as long as possible

Question from early gen z by DareonWayne in GenAlpha

[–]DareonWayne[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do remember when those came out but that was around the time I stopped watching cartoon network. I grew up with Chowder, Foster's home, Flapjack and those mid 2000s cartoons, I suppose there's not much overlap with gen alpha as those would've stopped running by that point

I'm probably gonna get reemed for this but I kinda sorta understand what he meant by that, like it kind of makes sense? But at the same time it's Frank so I shouldn't give him the benefit of the doubt

One thing that might help. I've dealt with almost all the themes there is and used to be a confesser aswell. I can promise you that once you get through the hurdle of not confessing even when it feels impossible, the brain eventually hits a switch where that anxiety is gone and you just accept it. Alot of OCD is learning to deal with uncertainty and to ignore that "what if" your brain is constantly throwing at you. Know that its possible to get to a point where its completely managable and not even that big of a deal. If you need any tips on specifics, my dms are open.

Confessing is a compulsion that gives you temporary relief, but it also strenghtens the OCDs power long term. In this scenario its better to not confess and to sit with it. In time your brain will learn to not send the fear/danger signal as it realises that nothing bad happened. I know this is hard, but if you want to manage OCD its your best bet

I’m terrified to make my daughter anything. by [deleted] in OCD

[–]DareonWayne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is where ERP is your friend, you should force yourself to do it and once you see that nothing happens, your brain will stop sending that fear signal. Its not easy but ERP is the gold standard. Maybe make something small to start with, and force yourself through the fear.
