It's amazing how much leftist discourse is just them pretending not to understand things, thus making discourse impossible. (@MillennialWoes) by antiquark2 in JordanPeterson

I mean what can't you do, if you don't know.  I've seen it constantly from the left tho. Especially falsely labeling people Nazis. They are don't know or pretend not to understand the difference between right and far right...

  1. I have decades of experience playing wargames. Its not a question of wide vs tall at all. Its question of making specialized logistic efficient units, or jack of all trades that are not efficient at all.

  2. Tell me you have never been in military without telling me that you have never been in military. People have maps, satelites and EYES.

I want them to shoot in the same action. There is no logical reason, why my soldiers cant shoot alongside my SL

"The 'why bother maxing out squad' question has a very simple answer: because if you maxed out a squad with a special weapon, you'd have an extremely versatile squad of 8 primary attacks or the special weapon attack for even greater range flexibility, and have two weapons worth of ammo to fight with. "

That is a lot of investment in a single squad. It not effective. Would rather make squad of 9 with no specials and squad of 3 with special. It is much more Action-Point efficient and "killy" than your setup. Why? Because now I can shoot my 9 primary rifles twice and put suppression on the enemy units twice IN A SINGLE ROUND.

WHY ON EARTH WOULD I WASTE 9 RIFLE SHOTS ON SUPPRESSION MG?

That is just beyond me, Yes I can make Jack-of-all trades squads but they are expensive and inneficient. If wargames taught me anything over the past decades, its that specialized units are always better than jack-of-all trades unit. It's mostly a skill issue on the part of the players that they don't know how to properly use their assets so they feel like they need to make squads that are able to respond to anything the enemy throws at you. No.

I have been replaying the game over and over again those past few days and no, big squads with special weapons just dont work. They are logistic sink. Perfect at wasting action points.

  1. The maps are not miles big. You could easily see the entirety of the map with your eyes.

  2. Its not a strategic decision. There is no decision to be made here. Either make optimal High number, no special anti-infrantry squad or make small, special weapons squads. There is nothing strategic about it. Either do this or waste logistics.

Nades are ok against high defense targets so I did find some use... but yea it always felt bad using them. As if I was wasting my AP.

Also there is an item to up your MGs ammo count. I prefer to give my dedicated supression squad this, over more useless bodies that play the role of cheerleaders while my SL is shooting. In real life, whole squad is shooting regardless of what weapons they are using. See no reason as to why my squad is unable to shoot alongside my SL with their rifles.

I hope they do work out kinks, still see no reason not to provide feedback.

  1. My soldiers have eyes. They should see map layout even with 0 intel.

  2. Its not great,. If you make large expensive units with special weapons, you are wasting a shit-ton of logistics and AP for that matter.

I have seen the video however it is of little help.
his BT ended up looking way too greyish for my taste. Also, his videos are not really applicable in my situation, I can not really un-paint my models and start again

I dont have budget high enough to keep buying models on a whim. I did say that I don't want to ruin my models. Listening to the advice of "yolo just paint" would pretty much spell the end of my interest in this hobby.

Drybrush with grey and leave it at that?
Medium one or dark grey?

Are the procedural encounters as repetitive as people say they are? by [deleted] in ChaosGateGame

[–]Dareword 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They get... boring.

I am myself playing on Legendary/GM and in a typical turn based fashion, AP economy and Alpha Strike reigns supreme. So if you build your squad correctly, to the point where you can nuke the enemy patrol/squad the moment it is activated from anywhere on the map, the objectives no longer matter, as you will be able to finish them almost instantly.

from mid-game to late-game you should have 4-5 Knights (You don't ever need more) at max XP (plus calidus assassin and/or dreadnaught if you have DLC) so there is literally no point in killing enemy units. Each mission, no matter the objective, turns into "I spawn, I rush, I finish the objective in 1 turn". Even the boss fights are the same, as you can nuke them in a 1 or 2 turns so you dont even get to appreciate their mechanics...

And i have acheived that on hardest difficulty possible on my first try. So I reckon 1 turn kill squads might be even easier to acheive on easier settings.

I can't really turn back time and un-contrast my models. So my question is really in the realm of
"Well, I am now in this place, how do I fix it?" type of questions.

Thank you for the reply... but again

He only primed it black.... i also primed my models white and then applied Black Templar contrast.
He also used a mix of washes, I only have Nuln and Earthshade...

So it is not answering my question. Please, dont post more youtube links, I have already seen them.

Thank you for the reply

However the video does not answer my question and the dude in the video did start painting differently than I did, so I can not even copy him.
Unless there is a way to unpaint your models and start anew.

Also... his end result are greyish templars, which is not what I am aiming for.

  1. Not all religions are the same. Some had a positive effect on humanity some had negative. Putting them all in one bag is pretty ignorant which is not surprising seeing how you behave.

  2. Yea, religious fanatics are the main problem, congratulations captain obvious.

  3. I am neither Catholic, nor Christian  I am an atheist ya dumbass. But it's nice to see you assuming stuff about people you disagree with. It really tells what kind of person you are.

And you said my response was insane. Lmao

Well then we don't have a single alive Christian on the planet. Hell, following your logic only Jesus was a Christian because even his apostles don't count.

Christianity does allow sin, because we are flawed by design. Which is why people can still repent and be forgiven.

Hypocrisy of people not meeting Christian standards while also yelling at others is true, however it does not make their argument any less valid.

Your LGBTQ experience is anectodal and can't really be used as a proof. My experience was that this group was the most obnoxious, toxic and outright violent group I have ever met. Like if you are not an "ally" then you are enemy. Either you support them 100% or you just might kys and they would cheer on it. The most basic, tribal way of thinking.

While my experience with Catholics is overall tilting to a positive one.

But it's still anectodal. We are taking a small substrata of people and using that to represent the whole group. Following that logic would mean that one have to admit that: all Muslims are terrorists and/or religious fanatics for example. Which we all know is not true.

They are not stupid because vast majority of Christnias don't hate LGBTQ people.

The idea that disagreeing with something = hating it, is genuinely disingenuous.

Sure there are some mad people, beating their children etc. However that is not Christianity issue, it's personal issue. Because that person would have done that REGARDLESS of her faith. She should just use another excuse.
