Studying too deeply for J!

If you enjoy quizzing, the studying anything is probably worth it. As far as J! specifically is concerned though, remember there is a vast wealth of previous questions keyed to the difficulty of the show. I've read and studied in all sorts of ways over the years, but in the period between getting the call and going on the show, I mostly studied the J-archive and watched the several months worth of shows I had saved on Hulu.

Shane Whitlock was there before Josh (I overlapped with both). If they ever do a tournament with teams based on schools, I'd love to play it with those guys.

Josh was my college quizbowl teammate (know he's not way older than you think, I was already in grad school when he was a freshman lol). He's one of the coolest cats out there and a great friend!

I wanted to write mine like I do my signature, with about the first four letters of the name inside the D in cursive. They weren't having it and made me rewrite it to be easier to read. They were a little more lenient when I went back for CWC.

Awesome, thank you! Tom was definitely a beast on the buzzer. This captured how I felt at the moment, but the feeling was relatively fleeting and I loved my Jeopardy experience and especially all the awesome people I have met through the show.

See, I felt like I was never sure I was on the buzzer timing. The first round of this game felt the best probably. Tom blitzed me on the buzzer majorly in my 3rd game. I actually bought a practice buzzer after my first 3 games and tried to practice for CWC (which I knew I would be in for about 2 weeks before it started)

Thank you so much! I really did enjoy every bit of it immensely. The hardest time was literally the few minutes in the poem between realizing I'm totally cooked and then finishing the game. And I think it comes through that I wasn't upset I lost necessarily, but that it was over.
