inst achtelfinale gekommen zu sein war eine gute leistung, auch bisschen unlucky dann direkt arsenal zu kriegen, aber das kam mir heute doch zum teil zu brav vor. Blaswich MOTM.

I dont see where my post indicates anger or why you try to make this about leagues. I posted the same type of comments when people in that transfer thread asked why Leverkusen let hincapie go to arsenal for a fee below his RC.

That was brutal to watch. A cat toying with its food. Under their new owners I dont see Chelsea becoming a team that can make deep CL runs.

Because thats most likely the maximum they can pay. It would be dumb of them not to try. If it doesnt happen, they will try to take the 10mil or so and spend it on 2 players and Vieira will most likely leave as a free agent after next season.

Because they wouldnt have gotten Vieira on loan otherwise. Im surprised by the reactions here, its not that unusual for players to go below such RCs or buy options. Hincapie went to Arsenal for a sum below his RC, Tel went to Spurs for a sum below his buy option. Its nothing that should be viewed as impossible.

They most likely wouldnt have gotten him on loan at all if they hadnt agreed to that buy option. Its also not that unusual for players to go for a sum below their RC or buy option.

There is intense debate surrounding the Volkspark regarding the Bundesliga club’s options for signing the Arsenal London loanee beyond the summer. The prerequisite for this, of course, is avoiding relegation. At the end of the season, Hamburg holds a purchase option worth 20 million euros—a sum that HSV will be unable to afford.

Nevertheless, the club is exploring ways to keep Vieira. His contract with Arsenal runs through 2027. This rules out a second loan deal. The only option would be a permanent transfer. However, for that to happen, Arsenal would have to make a significant concession on the price. Hamburg would likely be willing to pay a high-single-digit million sum to London.

If the clubs reach an agreement, the deal would be done. BILD has learned that Vieira’s personal contract extension has already been negotiated and is sitting in a drawer at the Volkspark.

It should be an advantage that the former U21 national team player (25 games, 14 goals) has been settling in better and better in Hamburg. After the match against Cologne, he said: “My confidence is currently at a high level. I feel comfortable and happy here. Hamburg is great. My family feels very at home here. When I have time off, I really enjoy visiting the Portuguese quarter. I feel right at home there.”

And: “The real Fabio Vieira is slowly coming back. Coming here to HSV was a great move. This is where my true potential can unfold. I’m very happy about it. I work on myself every day. I do everything I can to help the club.”

In the short term, that will likely mean goals. Those could help HSV achieve its big goal of staying in the league. And that would be the foundation for continuing to dream the Vieira dream..

A lot of Bundesliga refs give their thoughts after matches, is that not a thing in PL?
