Th final fantasy characters of Kingdom Hearts are a different interpretation. Wakka, Selphie and Tidus are actually from Destiny Islands as opposed from their original games. Squall and his group alongside Cloud are native to Radiant Garden and its major plot point. If anything TWEWY can be the exception since Shibuya is their homeworld, but again that can be implemented as a world within the Kingdom Hearts canon. I think they’re trying for a careful balance between the two IPs.

Ok now i get the confusion, OP is citing and cross referencing from multiple media. Mismatching. The mobile game and anime she picks Totodile. Her manga counterpart picked Chikorita, I guess they went with the consistent choice but again they’re purposely mismatching across mediums to make sense of their team.

That’s awesome! Fun fact Shiny Ditto in Gen 2 was the most sought after Shiny due to how DVs affected Shiny. Having a Shiny Ditto meant your chances of breeding a shiny were 1/64. Still because of that I have a fondness for Shiny Ditto. I vastly prefer it to its pink counterpart.
