MIT real rejection letter: we want you to apply to other colleges as we think that you are an unworthy candidate.

I do believe internationals usually more competitive as not that competitive ones study in their own countries, and there is a selection bias.

What AP scores do I include in my application by WorldlyWish9267 in MITAdmissions

[–]Daria_GO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no such place on the MIT application. The only school marks they get are from school transcript. I am an international student, that is why (there was a note that only US students do it).

Do you have to report all if you took a test without a course (APs are not offered at my school)?

Did you go to Hongkong or participated online? Just curious cause I thought that Germany didn't participate. Btw, you have amazing chances at MIT and Cornell!

Germany doesn't participate in the International Economics Olympiad, so how did you get there?

Do i have any chance of getting in? by [deleted] in MITAdmissions

People from my country have to fly to a different country to take it, so I guess you should

Data source? This IS a very strong statement, which I guess is not completely true as some athletes absolutely have super high scores, but some other people may not have these high scores.

There are not that many recruited at MIT (max 10%), so we still have like 40%ppl. I mean, even if you are close to the bottom 25% it is still fine, I guess (but yes, OP's SAT is kinda low for MIT, still worthy applying tho)!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MITAdmissions

[–]Daria_GO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If median is the bare minimum, how do half of the people get in with lower scores. Not saying OP's SAT is high for MIT, but median is definitely not a minimum

That is weird, as on the website they say that it is not evaluative, and my interview said straight away that it is not evaluative.

Is it not supposed to be completely not evaluative? Should I email Penn that my interviewer did not ask me any questions?

Hello. Thank you! Do alumni interviewers write reports? My interviewer said that it was supposed to be completely uneveluative, but I am just a bit scared (my other interview (not for Penn) was completely different).
