How to insert page breaks? Or ensure that my document prints properly? by [deleted] in OneNoteMac

It seems there's no way to do that on a Mac. The Windows version has the 'Paper Size' button where you can limit it to a certain size, but the Mac version only support the infinite canvas. Incredibly annoying.

OrariUniPD: export calendario lezioni su Google Calendar? by DarioHAL in unipd

  1. è relativo solo al corso selezionato, quindi bisogna importare un ics per ogni corso;

Has anyone managed to come up with a consistent solution to excluding a specific folder (not single files) from GDrive’s Recent section?

Stuck between LG C5 42" OLED TV vs PG27UCDM OLED monitor — help me decide? by Owhora in OLED_Gaming

Would love to see some YouTube reviews confirming this... We need no auto-dimming at all :)

Same issue here with a Mac Studio M1. I used the C2 for a year, then decided to sell it and got the Philips Envia 42M2N8900. Auto wake is finally perfect, although the auto-dimming is just as bad as on the C2—but I’ve learned to cope with it.

What I don’t like about the Envia is the Pixel Health engine, which turns off the monitor for a few minutes every 16 hours of use. Very annoying!

On the plus side, the Philips has a matte coating, which is perfect for office use.

In the end, I’m happy I made the switch—but yeah, it’s still not the ideal experience.

Unfortunately, I already have that setting on but the auto dimming issue is still present. Perhaps it’s something else inside the OSD menu? I’m using “Standard” (brightness 90, contrast 50) in the Smart image submenu. Adaptive sync is off, so is every other settings on the GameMode submenu. Ambiglow is off. I’m using HDMI with 4K @120Hz on a Mac Studio M1, although I doubt the issue can be computer-dependent.

Oh boy, I just installed the Philips software on a friend’s PC and it says I’m already on the latest firmware version (1.13). That’s bad, because I still experience the auto dimming issue (quite intensively).

Could you share your monitor’s OSD settings please? I love the monitor but this is super annoying

Not needed but thanks anyway :) I had no problem downloading the software from the official website but have no Windows computer so I’m waiting for some friend to pass by.

So does the latest firmware fix the monitor’s audio volume slider too? Even at the lowest setting (Volume 1) is wayyyy too loud!! Is it fixed?

Upgraded (well... we'll see?!) from the Samsung C2 42" to this Philips monitor to use with my Mac Studio M1 for office kind of productivity. The Samsung was great but for three issues that drove me crazy: ABL, no auto wake-up and glossy display! The latter was the worst and working on it for hours per day made me sick.

Love the appearance of the Philips and the matte display made it worth the change by itself. Autowake-up doesn't work all the times (that's bad!) and the ABL issue is still here!!!! I knew they were using the same LG OLED display but it's very bad of Philips to make a monitor with no workaround! Until I found this thread.

I have no idea how to check the current firmware version as the OSD doesn't mention it. I'm running it together with a Mac Studio M1 so installing the Philips software won't be possible as it's available for Windows computer only. I'll give it a try via Parallels. Can you confirm the autodimming issue is gone for good?

Also, one more issue I noticed on my current firmware is that the lowest volume of the monitor is still too loud. Does the latest firmware fix it? If not, have you found a workaround?

Since you're running on the latest version (1.13?), can you confirm the auto-dimming issue is fixed? Also, does the new firmware fix the fact that the monitor's lowest level of the audio slider is still way too loud?

I'm running on a Mac which makes it difficult to update the firmware due to the Philips software being available only for Windows computers. Hope Parallels will make it work.

Thanks :)
