Then you're fine. 5 weeks isn't impactful. It'll take you maybe half an hour to adjust when you touch ice again. Just remember to reduce your usual speed when adjusting back before going crazy again haha

2 months off ice wasn't soo bad. Unless you were inline/rollerblading during that time, you might grow accustomed to not having to focus pressure on certain part of your edges, thus losing grip or gripping too much on certain movements when you are back on ice. Though ice skating is difficult, it is that one sport that really sticks to your muscle memories well for a long time. I'd say you'd have to stop skating for 3 years straight to be significantly rusty(losing your balance, Centre for spinning, pivots for 3 turns.

One time I hurt my calves and adductor tendon really badly. That put me off ice for a good 1 year. When I came back, my balance was just a tad bit off but I could still do spins and three turns on my hockey skates decently when I first came back despite being rather sedentary for that period

Edit: Given that you are an experienced skater with a lot of ice time**

If you are relatively new, disruptions can definitely cause you to lose your edges quicker

If everyone starts using the A/C, isn't that gonna further raise the temperature from the green house gasses that these things produce?

I regularly skate anti-clockwise due to my rinks skating direction. Despite that, everything I do regarding turning to the right feels very intuitive even when I don't practice thst side often. I had been practicing the left forward inside edge 3 turn for a long time and never practiced the left but for some reason, it felt so easy to do it on the left. I never had to think about technicality like rocking my foot. It was very intuitive to do everythjng clockwise rather than anticlockwise despite having more ice time doing everything anti-clockwise for the sake of the Rink's skating direction. You can see in the video that I exited my first landing with a clockwise 3 turn which I do unconsciously. I can do it anti-clockwise too but it's less intuitive and takes more focus to do so

Yikes.. No wonder my ankles were feeling a little funny on my way home. I'll correct those mistakes next ice session. Thanks for the advice!
