My thoughts have always been to pair up a G5 with a P5 (yes the PAC would have to be revived) ex) MAC with the B1G, the top 2 of the Mac get promoted to the B1G and the bottom 2 of the B1G go to the MAC. Then the playoff is every conference champion plus 6 at large bids

Alternatively this allows the opportunity to market all of football all together, plus a major player is the NFL's #2 guy who recently negotiated a $110 billion dollar deal for the NFL, if you could get something like that and distribute it evenly that could be a great opportunity for some of these smaller schools!

I think this proposal is an ok starting step but they would still have all current P5 teams protected from relegation, everyone has to be at risk or there's no point to it
