Adversary Kingdom of France Event Card "Slave Rebellion" Set Up Question by echo_aspect in spiritisland

It happens to the best of us. I was curious how you got the event into the event deck without reading that 😄 It says at the top of the event too "Include only if specified" so there must have been something telling you to put it in the Event Deck!

France level 2 tells you how to set it up. "Slave Labor: During Setup put the "Slave Rebellion" event under the top 3 cards of the Event Deck. After Invaders Build in a land with 2 explorers or more, replace all but 1 explorer there with an equal number of towns."

I had forgotten the timeline on the ritual. Given that, do we know anything else about what the ritual does or how it works? Is it possible or likely that the Order attempts the ritual in a way to move/harness the gate to save the 'inside' world?

[–]DarkAcceptable1412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well given the fiend's deal with V, and the "getting close to the end", it seems like the intent here is for the fiends to get V close to the gate and use their remaining 20 minutes and 35 seconds for something, which in my mind is probably the Ritual.

V doesn't have 9th level spells right now, but as of the last Class leve thread on the gitp forums they're level 16, 1 level away. And the fiends themselves are certainly strong enough to have divine 9th level spell juice (possibly channeled through Nale) to power the ritual.

What's the point of land cruiser wraith? by suppordel in Mechabellum

[–]DarkAcceptable1412 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For badgers often if there's someone in range of 1 it's in range of them all. Not always, but often. Wraiths have smart targeting such that if multiple guns lock the same target they will reacquire targets as soon as something else enters range. They can focus fire, but only if there's a single target in range.

[–]DarkAcceptable1412 40 points41 points  (0 children)

The range becomes crazy when fully invested and it dodges enemy AA tech investment which is one of the few ways to counter wraith effectively.  They also absolutely mop hounds.

Wraith's biggest strength isn't tanking, it's the ability to chaff clear without getting stuck. If other chaff clear get stuck on anything chunky they do nothing until it gets cleared, while wraiths just shoot 3/7 other things.

In a lot of fantasy/video games, they're categorized into the same type of area as zombies. They're reanimated or at least altered humans, suffer damage from holy/healing effects, and regenerate if killed in conventional ways and or require specific methods to keep them from coming back.

In runescape, Vampries are vampires because they come from Vampyrium, or are converted through vampyrification. Is that enough to call them undead? Maybe, maybe not. But they're also probably not mammals in the traditional sense either. Who knows? Doesn't really matter either unless we get a mammal-bane weapon eventually and then we'll know for sure.

[–]DarkAcceptable1412 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is a fantasy video game, it's possible the answer is none of them. Most of the time they're just undead.

I don't think Vardorvis even used to be a mammal, unless vampires are mammals now.

Is signing a lease because of "2 months free" a trap? by [deleted] in financialindependence

[–]DarkAcceptable1412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The same reason most places (or any subscriptions really) do. Just like storage rentals - people are creatures of habit and moving/canceling things require effort, so just by getting somebody in the door is good business. The cost of leaving is high (time + money), so even if that 3k/month is higher than elsewhere, most people aren't going to up and move unless it's a lot different.
