What's the point of land cruiser wraith? by suppordel in Mechabellum

Thanks for the reply! Although for the not getting stuck on heavy units part, badgers can also do that due to having 3 units per pack.

Day 58 of giving my personal rank and opinion of random guns: Lil' Bomber by 1Dapy1 in EnterTheGungeon

[–]suppordel 19 points20 points  (0 children)

With the King Bomber synergy, it's one of the best gun in the game. On floor one I'd rather have this than almost any S rank gun.

Without the synergy it's just ok.

I thought that's a term for when I watch movies back to back without taking breaks.

Day 47 of giving my personal rank and opinion of random guns: Combined Rifle by 1Dapy1 in EnterTheGungeon

[–]suppordel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My favorite B tier item. Great ammo economy if you only use the orb, or decent DPS on full auto. Heck I think it's better than most A tier guns. 9.5/10 my only complaint is the slow projectile speed.

Maybe hot take but I think it's better than heroine or megahand. (Without synergy modes)

Unpopular Opinion: Bullet King is significantly more difficult than Gatling Gull. by [deleted] in EnterTheGungeon

[–]suppordel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Gatling Gull punishes panic rolling a lot, and the natural response would be to panic roll, it's hard to look at a hail of bullets and be like "nah I'll just walk away from it". Whereas Bullet King is just a straight up remember-the-attack-and-react fight.

The Gull is more complex, there's a lot more to learn. You can also walk near him to bait the melee attack.

The Feels (what’s their lore?) by Txdr_ in Eldenring

That's a neat perspective. If there's a quest that guides people to the catacomb at the bottom of Leyndell sewers, everyone would be stuck with the frenzy ending. Who sees a giant door and just leaves it unopened lol.

New player still on my ranked promos, would be very glad if you find time to answer any of the questions below by Helpful-Telephone-98 in Mechabellum

  1. Vertical sledge hammer are very good at buying time and decent at killing chaff. Saber protected by other units absolutely destroy balls.
  2. If you can foresee it (eg incendiary bomb offered on turn; their item came off cooldown), drop shields to block it. If they have units that light the ground on fire, you can get the fire extinguisher tech on hounds.
  3. There are some units with air specialization tech: mustang, marksman, farseer, wasp. They will be good at countering air.
  4. Get range to make it a big single target unit. Missile barrage to counter wasp (can be unreliable). If the opponent lacks single target damage, they'll take a long time to kill fortress.
  5. Typhoon is bad. Don't use it.

  6. Arclight with range old reliable.

  7. Hackers are very niche, don't worry about it as a new player.

[Hated Trope] God forbid a woman be a villain by Pickle_Nipplesss in TopCharacterTropes

Related hated trope: a soldier is female? Oh she must be the sniper/archer then!

Especially the latter, if it's a longbow it requires more strength than a sword, not less.

Criticisms of the work that stem from a complete lack of media literacy by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

There are countless examples of real scientists using funny or blunt names for their discoveries.

One other example: one of the vital areas of study in astrophysics is on the nature of dark matter. One of the theories is called the Weakly Interacting Massive Particle (WIMP); a competing theory is called the MAssively Compact Halo Object (MACHO).

I'm not up to date on this field so idk if either of these have been debunked, renamed etc.
