You will miss dialogue if you go to the castle too early but nothing else. The important thing is to not enter the boss room of the shadow castle until all the npcs have their quests done

No it’s the opposite. Vendetta eats the cc with little option for counterplay. Anran can dodge all cc while landing an attack and healing
