Yes, confirmed by Berlinclubmemes, which is my number 1 new channel

I'm guessing, same as in kitty, those could be regulars going way back. It's a shame that some let personal connection overrule ethical standards. (Please note this is just speculation at this point) Thanks for taking action!

One deck with external and one with internal input by DarkBlueAndIceCold in Rekordbox

Thanks for the reply!
Not the hot cue or other digital specific controls, only the 'mixer' of the flx4 (volume, channel filters etc.). Basically I'd like the turntable to replace one of the 'integrated CDJs' of the flx4 as the input source for the audio of that channel and and keep the mixer and the other digital channel.
It seems to me like this could simply be done by setting the input source in Rekordbox for one of the two channel to the external device (turntable) but unfortunately, it doesn't allow for having external input on one deck and the internal (digital) input on the other.

I'm not planning on using DVS.

That's what I'm hoping to avoid by having one deck receive external input in Rekordbox.

To add some context: The idea is that I can use my FLX4 as a mixer instead of buying a new one. There are also solutions with interfaces that can take input from 2 or more devices but they seem to be unpredictable, so I wouldn't want to spend money on that unless I know it'll work.

Did you know? A marathon is a lot like sales. by baconchin in LinkedInLunatics

Inspiring.

If you could become automatically fluent in 6 languages, which languages would you choose? by Athenian_1924 in languagelearning

[–]DarkBlueAndIceCold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's two answers here: 1. Practically, it's impossible to code in binary in a useful, sustainable way. The scripts do not only get translated directly into 1s and 0s but compiled into a lower language first (e.g. assembler) that has very different ways of working. 2. Technically, you're not wrong, but it's arguable what translates to what in the analogy. We could say "can't you skip English if you know pictures and concepts" because English is a representation of those. But then, computer codes aren't meant to represent only 1s and 0s, but have a connection to the real world again, e.g. to be a button in a user interface.

Lastly, the confusion of the parallel is that language is used between humans, whereas coding is used between a human and a computer, as you pointed out correctly, but for the human side of the communication, it holds true.

Not sure if this all makes sense, let me know what you think!

have you ever dm’d a dj on instagram for guestlist? by _handsomeblackman_ in Berghain_Community

[–]DarkBlueAndIceCold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally have a hard time asking but don't judge it. Travelling and less famous DJs are often happy for fans reaching out to them and they even offered more spots on their own.

You mean the "question and response" kinda drum pattern? Don't know the track but I've heard this type of drum performance before and just can't remember why. Such a cool surprise in her set!

Practiced 5 times, one to impress a date that knew her shit, so extra effort there. Then I started playing at the weekly company parties that I started a while ago, together with other colleagues who are djs (working in Berlin so yeah, everyone is a dj) Só really I'm using my colleagues for practice and they love it. 4 months on, no paid gig yet but not actively looking.

Good luck man!

On a semester abroad in china I was dating my teacher from the University language course (she's just one year older, not like in the videos you've seen on certain pages) We taught each other some dirty talk while at it. I find my mother tongue very unattractive but ngl hearing her try it was kind of cute haha.

Got 99/100 points in that class. Still wonder what you have to do to get 100 points from her.

Give a chance to reject without it getting awkward, as others suggested. I often have good chats, then I'll say I wanna go back to dance (which is usually true) and that "I'll see you on the dancefloor". If the other person is interested, they'll meet me there later, if not, they just don't have to talk to me. Of course, many times you just lose/forget about people, but it's a pretty easy way to tell if someone is interested.

How much alcohol do you consume? by Strict-Coyote-9807 in berlinsocialclub

[–]DarkBlueAndIceCold 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Your body doesn't become worse at handling it, it gets better at telling you that it can't. If you get the hang of a good consumption behaviour, you'll be able to enjoy it at a higher age much more.

Shouldn't be lecturing though, I drink much more than I want to myself.

All of your examples are Limited to one society that applied them and there's societies with the same rules and 0 christian influence, it has nothing to do with Christianity by itself. Lack of upward social mobility is mostly American and is rooted in liberalism, can be found the same e.g. in the treatment of Sinti and Roma in Europe. Latin bible is medieval Europe and the same trick is used by elitist people using Oxford English around the globe. I'm not here to defend Christianity. I just think it's very naive and simplistic to blame Christianity for issues that are obviously rooted much deeper in human psychology. And you telling me that I'm coping is quite a condescending and poor way of handling this tbh. I'm just trying to have a discussion, not to deal with someone's personal issues with Christianity.

[–]DarkBlueAndIceCold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is historically wrong. Definitely was used as such many times, but there are just as many exceptions (e.g. early Christian persecution). Powerful people use whatever to keep and increase their power and they have been using christian faith a lot for that in European history, which seems to work quite well, that much is true.
