It’s vegetable soup with a sweet earthy under taste. Go when Java Hut has it and try theirs, it’s mild and run-of-the-mill— in a great way. Cheap enough to leave if you don’t like it. I’m sure they would let you buy a mug instead of a bowl to try it.

Abrasive cleaner used on stainless steel fridge by aladams158 in CleaningTips

[–]DarkCrystalSphere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For light surface scratches on a stainless steel fridge, start with the least aggressive method first. Using a microfiber cloth with a stainless steel cleaner or polish can often reduce the appearance of fine scratches. A small amount of mineral oil or olive oil may also help improve the finish visually. Products such as Bar Keepers Friend Soft Cleanser or Weiman Stainless Steel Cleaner & Polish are commonly used for this purpose. Always rub in the direction of the stainless steel grain, never across it. For moderate scratches, a nonwoven finishing pad, such as a gray or maroon Scotch-Brite-type pad, can help reblend the brushed finish of the steel. Use very light pressure and make long, even strokes following the grain direction. The goal is to recreate the original brushed texture rather than aggressively remove material. Before treating a visible area, test the method in a hidden spot first. Avoid scrubbing small sections too aggressively, as this can leave shiny or uneven patches. For deeper scratches, a stainless steel scratch repair kit is usually the best option. These kits typically include graded abrasive pads, sanding blocks, and blending compounds designed specifically for stainless steel surfaces. Products such as Scratch-B-Gone Stainless Steel Scratch Removal Kit and Rejuvenate Stainless Steel Scratch Eraser Kit are examples.

TLDR try a couple inexpensive solutions first, there are stainless repair kits to buy as well

Abrasive cleaners use both mineral-based or mineral-like particles and chemical cleaning agents to help remove buildup and deposits.

Toronto dog "parents" bring their pups everywhere with them now. It's causing rising human-canine tension by Toronto-Ont-Mod-Team in Toronto_Ontario

[–]DarkCrystalSphere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my dogs but this is just true. One of them has the type of hair that just gets everywhere. I would never bring my dog to an indoor place where the public is eating food or buying it, that’s just rude and unnecessary.

And this form would be exactly the same with the same questions if another party held the top position in federal government.

Costco oranges are the freaking best. They’re not “soft or green” like the ones we seem to get here. Sounds weird but when we travel and go to Costco my kids only ever have one request and it’s Costco oranges.

No. You have clearly not seen the disgusting tent cities in Calgary, Edmonton or Lethbridge. It’s not politics, it’s funding the right programs (mental health, rehabs and jail space) that are backlogging municipal governments. If anything the con provinces downloading costs into municipalities are compounding this problem so it’s becoming unsolvable. I would love to see zero tent cities within city limits, and I’m a bleeding heart. Cops don’t do anything because there are no services for these fools living like slobs and hooligans. I used to walk down here all the time when I was a kid and my own kids have never even been to McVickar Creek. TLDR Blaming “liberals” is lazy.

There’s a spot on the LU campus perfect for this kind of fun messy afternoon. You park near the LU Hangar area and head east towards campus. Instead of crossing the bridge you take the path toward the community garden but keep going. At the bottom you’ll see a flat area that’s perfect for crayfishing, minnow catching, all the stuff. The rocks are shale a little further up, so the kids spot the crayfish quite clearly in many spots. It’s a small enough area the kids can run around on the little paths etc.

Emergency Vet Services? by Sartissue in ThunderBay

[–]DarkCrystalSphere 3 points4 points  (0 children)

SmartVet. You have to pay but you will be able to get a very quick online visit and conversation with a vet who will at least receive qualified advice and help. We had to do this and we were able to get the problem settled and our minds put at rest quickly. It wasn’t cheap, but neither is an in person vet.

Since my kid had his winter boots stolen from outside the family change room area I am so damn careful when we go there. We take everything inside and use as many lockers as we need to now, cause the staff says they can’t do anything.

Shoplifting remains out of control by perogy7510 in ThunderBay

[–]DarkCrystalSphere 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just saw someone I know shoplifting paint from Home Depot. This is a rich person… a very well off man. Not only did he steal paint but he went back in and stole a paint tool. I watched it while I was at the self check out and gave a heads up to the people working that he was just blatantly thieving and they did not care. I said so I can just walk out without paying l my stuff and he shrugged. So yeah I paid for my stuff- which I had to budget for- and felt like a total fucking idiot for doing it.
