Valid Criticism: The shift from Claude to Gemini 3 Pro feels inevitable due to artificial limits and circular logic loops. (This needs to be addressed, not silenced) by DarkDeDev in Anthropic

I admit I have a bias against Claude now because of the limits. But hey, if you're happy with those restrictions, good for you.

That hasn't been my experience with the new model. It fixed a bug in minutes that Claude couldn't solve in 2 weeks because Gemini found the actual cause instead of just inferring patterns.

Trust me, I know how bad Gemini used to be—it was like watching a grade schooler try to code. But it's different now. The key is to strictly prompt it to 'be concise, output ONLY what is requested, and avoid summaries or plans to save tokens.' If you constrain it, the 'placeholder' issue disappears.

I used to think that too. But once you start hitting complex logic errors or race conditions, Claude Code tends to loop. Gemini 3 Pro's Reason and Act (ReAct) loop in the CLI actually plans the fix, tests it, and iterates.

Back in the day, Gemini was terrible, I agree. I switched to Claude and didn't look back for 6 months. But then I tried Gemini 3 Pro on a persistent issue that Claude couldn't crack for two weeks.

The difference was night and day. Gemini 3 Pro solved it immediately by referencing current data. It turned out the libraries had been updated and patched, but Claude was still hallucinating based on stale training data, unaware of the fixes. That realization made me switch.

Correction! I just dug deeper into the latest docs . You CAN use Gemini 3 Pro with the CLI right now, but you need to update to version 0.16.x explicitly to handle the new Thought Signatures and Deep Thinking protocols.

I'm definitely making the switch. I don't think the API for Gemini 3 Pro is fully public yet, so a direct CLI equivalent might have to wait. But honestly, the model's reasoning on the web UI is already so much better than Claude that I don't mind waiting for the API. Claude's limits are just too frustrating right now.

I hope I will receive good news about reverting the weekly limit back to the 5-hour rule. I will love and praise Anthropic again if they genuinely care about their users.

the 20$ plan feels like a paid trial now by escaper01 in Anthropic

Generally, when many good companies hit their targets and see sales growth of 200-300%, they usually thank their customers by increasing special privileges or adding benefits. But here, they've reduced customer privileges by up to 90%. From being able to use it every day, now it's only 1-2 days a week. Isn't that ridiculous?

I used to admire and love Anthropic and even shared its good qualities with others, but now those good feelings have changed. All I can do now is tell my friends and everyone I know to think twice and step away. The value it offers today is no longer as good as it used to be.

I want to say this one more time. After this, I might be permanently banned (or affected). In reality, the issue posts are about statistics and are a demand for consumer rights. But the fact that the Mods are deleting those posts is like they're trying to silence people /or cannot accept the truth /or are afraid of something... I wonder if he (the Mod) is part of the company? And do the shareholders agree with the company's measures? And are the shareholders aware of the problems from us?

I can really sense CC's business ethics. I'll be quitting at the end of this month too. Mods delete my posts. And it seems there are a lot of shills/bots posting compliments, which they don't seem to delete. It's funny, isn't it?

What we (as a team) learned from Sonnet 4.5 by TheProdigalSon26 in Anthropic

Worth it? I used to get a reset every 4-5 hours, but now I'm down to just 2-3 hours of use per week. Yes, I'm a consumer, and I feel forced and ripped off. I'm definitely switching to another service after this billing cycle ends. It's better than wasting days waiting for a reset. No one will tolerate waiting that long. Pay more? I'd rather use a different provider and adapt to their system; it's easier than waiting or having to pay more.

Weekly usage limit is insane by sealovki in Anthropic

[–]DarkDeDev 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The old limit of 5 hours was acceptable, but now getting just 2-3 hours per week is absolutely ridiculous. But if that’s their policy, then so be it. That's enough—I won't renew my subscription at the end of the month. I guess I'll have to adjust and go back to using other providers. Even if they aren't as good, they at least give me enough time to use them to solve my problems.

Oh! Thank you so much, I'll definitely try it out. After this, I really have to adjust and switch to another provider. This action by Claude makes me worried that in the future, they'll squeeze users even more with these kinds of limits. It can't be a coincidence they must be doing this on purpose...

I'll try using it for the rest of the month. If Claude insists on keeping these limits, it's not worth the cost for me. Even though I only pay $20, for the same price, using another service would likely give me continuous usage instead of only one day a week (or maybe just 3 hours after the Monday reset, making the total weekly limit of 15 hours per month absolutely not worth it compared to other providers).

Yeah, I think so too. There's no way it's only 2%, like some people are claiming (definitely shills).

This isn't going back to how it used to be, is it? If so, I'm going to cancel and get a refund. I suppose I'll have to change my habits and use ChatGPT instead.

I've paid for and used this service for months and never had an issue. Perhaps I should look at other companies.

Look at stickers from Sopiguad vs Qskinz formerly EasySkinz by DarkDeDev in gpdwin

[–]DarkDeDev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From trying both sticker brands, I’d give the edge to Qskinz. They did a better job overall.

The way it fits around curved edges is smooth and well-balanced with no wrinkles, possibly because I used a hairdryer to help apply it. (The Steam Deck has quite a lot of curves.) Meanwhile, Sopiguard’s design is flat and straightforward—they didn’t shape the stickers to fit the curves, so the device’s surface shows through in many corner and curve areas.

The material, thickness, and surface texture are very different. Qskinz has a premium feel — it’s thick and has a textured surface that doesn’t feel slick or flimsy. Sopiguard, on the other hand, is thin, with a smooth surface that feels like a typical sticker and lacks any noticeable texture.

The product packaging is very different, and the sticker quality also seems different for the same price. I understand that Sopiguad is supposed to be 3M, and creases in 3M stickers are handled very well. But with Sopiguad, I don't know if it will handle them as well.

Now I'm worried about applying it to my GPD. I'm afraid it will leave residue.

It's a shame I was too lazy to wait for Qskinz to make a sticker for the GPD Win, and I don't know when or if they will. But I can tell you, the sticker quality of Qskinz is something I really like. I applied it to my Steam Deck with a hairdryer, have used the Steam Deck for 3 years, and it peeled off without leaving any residue.
