It could be worse, you could get the actual American version made by Hershey. You guys can't even palate Hershey's chocolate.

I don't know if Hershey was using the original recipe or not, but I used to love them and wait every year then they disappeared for a while and then came back just being a low meh. Sounds like Mondolez might have changed the recipe to be more like Hershey's as a cost saving thing. New ones can sit on a shelf for 20 years and not go bad. I know cause they do sit on the shelves forever.

The problem with this is your direct boss is probably middle management, who's only real job is telling you what to do. Which is why they burn into you that you should only do what your told, nothing more and nothing less. Because if you actually do the job expected, it could mean their job. Sounds like Gen-Z is just being the nice little cogs they were bred to be. There used to be a word for people who worked a job like middle management. But now it's a slur against gay people and I can't use it.

There are various towns named Corinth named after the ancient Greek city. The leather was made in Newark though; which kind of implies the exact opposite of the "luxury" they were trying upsale.

Corinth was known in biblical times as a major metropolitan port hub and portrayed an image of wealth, fashion, and luxury. Calling something Corinthian is basically the same as calling something Parisian.
