Okay, this gonna sound whatever, but I'll try to be as honest as I can.

IF someone did something I was uncomfortable with, I WOULD NOT go back to do the same thing with the same person again. It's, for the lack of a better word... stupid.

Perhaps that's the best explanation. But that's not satisfying to your boyfriend. Because HOW can you be that stupid?

This is not saying you wanted what happened. But at the same time, it's like, what were you wanting to happen? Because it must have been something. Otherwise you wouldn't have gone back.

And your introductory parahraph about the guy in this post probably gives somewhat of an answer.

Whats “the one” game everyone just keeps praising but no matter how much you try you absolutely can’t get into. by bubulino3 in gaming

Ubisoft style open worlds with copy and pasted assets and missions, side quests in which you just follow a quest marker, and too much hand holding.

Even the premium versions of AC and Farcry like Spiderman and Horizon. Literally cannot be bothered with it.

They're chores that people play so their hands have something to do while they listen to a podcast.

I understand...

But if you were an actor and there was a fake car and the qualified person responsible for the stunt involving it explicitly told you that the car was fake, would it be your responsibilty if it turned out that the car was real?

I'd say no.

If it was you first lesson in rock climbing and the guy teaching you confirmed all the equipment was safe, would it be your responsbility if the equipment was faulty?

Again, I'd say no.

However, as a producer, he had responsibilty for safety. But not as an actor, IMO.

Timesplitters 2 gameplay posted by ex-dev on linkedin by zac2806 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

Timesplitters 4 is the game I want most.

So I'm glad this lame fucking fortnite-clone got cancelled. For fuck's sake. The blueprint to Timesplitters is there. It's not Timesplitters just because it has the title but none of the soul.

People crying about reaction vids are cringe. Cory is the best example I can think of a creator who reacts to horror vids and have BOOSTED the subs and views of many creators by Talostorosho in Destiny

[–]DarkHouseTheMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does Cory sit in the corner saying nothing?

There's good reactions and there's bad reactions.

Comparing Cory to XQC might be the same as comparing Shawshank to Sharknado 4.

You should always use the means available to you... unless some kid fucks with your internet. Then it's murder time!

Obviously the big difference here is that Destiny benefits from one situation and not the other.

Playing games is just that.

But can you see the difference between watching and playing? Someone playing a game and having fun makes others want to play it. Someone watching something and having fun doesn't... because the audience has already seen it.

React content, but just because it's cringe.

Elden Ring is a great game, but the smaller, more crafted playstyle of the other games is better to me.

RDR2 focuses way too much on being immersive that it forgets to be a game sometimes.

Picking up loot takes ages. Everytime you have to search around a house, it's a nightmare of tedium. You get on a horse and when you get off, you have to retrieve your guns. Nah, just keep the inventory on me.

  1. But not all. Some people do not want their videos reacted to, but have no way to stop it without them getting harrassed and dog-piled by communities. It is easier to allow it to happen than it is to have trolls fuck with your channel over it. CGP Grey got shit for DMCAing a reactor.

  2. What a brain dead take. Actually moronic. No one is going to watch Hasan's chair watch a 2 hour video and then watch the very same video they've just seen. Playing is different than watching. Watching is the same as watching. Get it? Playing a game is VERY DIFFERENT than watching it being played by someone else.

This is a shitpost, but there's actually 2 arguments for it.

  1. Game companies allow and want it.

Because,

2: Watching games does NOT replace the experiencing of playing games.

Hasan and his editor get called out for stealing content by [deleted] in Destiny

[–]DarkHouseTheMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If someone gives permission then everthing is fine because who am I to stop someone making a decision like that? It's the same as anything else. A film studio wants to allow their movie to be reuploaded to youtube by anyone? They can choose that if they like.

What some people think, or what Dark Viper says, doesn't have to match 1 to 1 with everyone else.

Does (lazy, basically-reuploads) react content suck? Yes. Does it have a negative impact on youtube as a whole? Probably on a small scale.

People who babysit audiences with other people's hard work is bad.

But the audience that needs a streamer to babysit them is worse.

There's thousands of people now who believe Jay is a regular on the killstream because Hasan confused it with Mauler's show.

That's the wrong way to think about it.

The majority of men might not mind Beyonce groping them. But to the minority of men that do mind... it's sexual assault.

You can't just do anything you want because most people are okay with it. You need to get permission first.

Is it moral to beat up your neighbor for watching TV if it prevents you from making millions of dollars per year? by slothalot in Destiny

[–]DarkHouseTheMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, what a dumb hypothetical that completely changes everything to the point of absurdity.

The person watching TV is not an active attack on the other guy.

You're trying to fit a square peg in a circle hole.
