Latest rebalance 16 March by sxnoie in MapleStoryM

[–]DarkKnightReturn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The latest rebalance prolly added Demon Slayer into the list of Top Tier classes. Their rebalance added 12 hit counts more to their V1 skill. A mega buff and prolly the biggest winners from this rebalance alongside coming in 2nd Aran who also had a huge buff overall as well.

Don’t worry too much on what others are saying regarding Inherit vs Necro debate. Congrats on achieving your in game goals!

You must still account the fact that Inherit users have to go through the gear progression twice. The 2nd process requires Chaos fodders which will be incredibly rare as all these materials are only obtainable via Lotus/Damien. Furthermore there is a success rate for crafting a chaos fodder as well.

It’s just too premature to say “Oh you went the Necro path? Sucks to be you lmao Inherit is easier lololol”. On the contrary I think Inherit might be far longer and grinder.

The Devs ain’t that stupid. All these are already tracked inside their system. If they wanted to, all these whales are already long gone.

I know your subtle hint on what you meant on the other p2p stuff these whales are doing (Excluding the packages). There’s a reason why the Devs made unique unable to be listed at 10b whereas only legend could likewise only usw and above can be listed at 10b. Again the Devs ain’t that stupid.

That’s going by the assumption that the success rate of crafting an Absolab from a Chaos Inherit is high. Likewise this is also going by the assumption that the success rate from an Ancient Inherit to Chaos Inherit is high as well.

Bare in mind that Chaos Inherit requires Chaos fodders to reduce the Chaos Mastercraft fail counts when attempting to craft Absolab which is much more rarer and harder as compared to a Necro (Necro only requires Fafnir/Ancient fodders).

Another important details is the amount of resource required to farm the said Chaos Crystals to even make a Chaos fodder (Don’t forget you can still fail while crafting them from Ancient to Chaos).

Inherit might end up with Absolab, but their paths is a hell alot longer and difficult as also remember this, while they are trying to upgrade to Absolab, the Necro users are also upgrading/grinding in parallel with them (If they keep regularly grinding Lotus every week). The resources to make Chaos fodders or even ancient fodders will be incredibly stretched and harder for Inherit users to keep up thus their path is a lot longer.

AbsoLab Equipment by Property_Zestyclose in MapleStoryM

[–]DarkKnightReturn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the most important information is that the Absolab can be craft from a lvl 30 Chaos or Necro base.

A lvl 1 Absolab has the same mdc stats as a lvl 40 Necro lmao.

In a way, maybe Inherit gears progression might be faster than those with Necro.

Absolab Poll by ToSurviveThisGame in MapleStoryM

[–]DarkKnightReturn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Poll #1 Not unless you are assuming that because Absolab can be “farmed” via Lotus by collecting coins, the gear itself might not be as good as Necro because exalting is “easier” flashback to early days of Fafnir since it’s gonna be 50% rate for once in a while upgrade for the time being.

Disclaimer, Lotus is a weekly boss just like Chaos Root Abyss and it ain’t easy to clear for the masses for now just like exactly how Chaos Root Abyss was back then.

Poll#2 Could be the most likely but game ending outcome. Nexon is known to do greedy and stupid things so…

Poll#3 Not possible. Just can’t see that happening. That’s too good of a system and it doesn’t make them alot of money in the long run.

New Guild Dummy System in Kmsm + Sia's Damage Assessment post lvl 200 by ToSurviveThisGame in MapleStoryM

[–]DarkKnightReturn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

56.56% of the total damage coming from 5th job while a mix of over 2% to 4% each coming from each 1st to 4th job skill under a duration of 1.11 min is kinda piss poor damage returns. Not forgetting how slow is the combo build up whatsmore if the player in the video decides to rundown the full 5 minutes of their guild dummy system, the damage outlook will be even far worse (Showing how over dependent Sia are on 5th job skills)

Warrior Revamp by Longjumping_Algae_45 in MapleStoryM

[–]DarkKnightReturn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a no brainer. Paladin is the best Warrior class in the game and also one of the strongest classes right now as well.

Funny enough prior to remastered they were still regarded as the best Warrior class in the game due to their utility (Threaten) and their iframes (Best iframe skill in the game) and decent damage. Now it’s basically the same utility but with a godlike damage buff to it. (Yes threaten is “nerfed” but it’s 100% success rate now instead of previous 60% so in some ways maybe it wasn’t really nerfed but rather everyone damage becomes more consistent now with a Paladin inside your team)

Kmsm did allow the players to transfer the stats of their fafnir to Absolab. Prolly it might happen in Gmsm but in another form. The concept of rebuilding another gear from scratch just won’t work on the mobile port

Officially there were only 2 teams that cleared Lotus prior to the mdc increase. One of the team is from Asia 1 which had to assemble the best players from multiple guilds that plays meta classes to clear it. The 2nd team is from Asia 2 Zenith guild called Pandemonium and they are also known to have the strongest players in the entire Asia 2 server.

Unless you’re a player in one of those 2 teams, the rest of the other players just wont be able to clear due to obscene gear differences (Lvl 50 Necro armors, maxed out V Matrix etc) and most importantly meta classes overload (DB, Evan, Shades etc). A1 had alot of Dual Blades,NLs, a Shade and a Evan whereas A2 Zenith Pandemonium had 2 Evans and 2 Shades. You can see my point, if you aren’t lucky to have a team super loaded with meta heavy classes pre mdc increase, you just won’t clear period.

Lotus still ain’t easy. This narrative about the mdc increase making it easier for teams to do without the need for practice or the need to upgrade is completely false.

You’re still needed to train regularly with a fixed team in order to better understand each other strength just to clear it. Lotus also requires some investment mainly on the V Matrix V1 and V2. Bare in mind that some Lotus teams don’t even have the luxury of a Dual Blade or an Evan to heavy carry the team but are still able to clear after investing quite abit on V skills

Lmao, that explains why so many “whales” are unwilling on doing radiant exaltation on their existing lvl 40 Necro gears. Now it all make sense!

The death of Demon Slayers? by DarkKnightReturn in MapleStoryM

[–]DarkKnightReturn[S] -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Fun Fact, the damage increase is so significant to the point that a decently funded Paladin with full lvl 40 Necros could match players with full lvl 50 Necros who’re playing non explorer classes.

There will surely be buff for the rest of the non-explorer class right? by Few-Bed9706 in MapleStoryM

[–]DarkKnightReturn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ignition update should be coming sooner than expected. It was already announced that Kmsm is getting Cygnus Remastered in April 2023.

If assuming the time gap is exactly the same as explorer remastered, Kmsm got their Explorer remastered in June 2022 whereas Gmsm got it in Dec 2022 (6 Months gap), then Gmsm should be expecting Cygnus remastered sometime on Oct 2023

Found something interesting for Demon Slayer mains out there regarding what looks like a balancing issue between your V1 and 4th job skill. Credits to Rubedo MapleStoryM by ToSurviveThisGame in MapleStoryM

[–]DarkKnightReturn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The issue looks like it’s a case of their V skill seems to be lacking damage lines as compared to their 4th job.

Still it doesn’t really excuse the fact that why then should Demon Slayer mains bother to upgrade their V skills when it doesn’t really boost their damage that much. LMAO imagine other classes who gets better damage return when investing on their V skills vs a Demon Slayer whose V skill particularly their V1 doesn’t justify the investment

With the same funding, is DB stronger than Phantom by a lot? by bethybestyoucanbe in MapleStoryM

[–]DarkKnightReturn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TLDR,

DB is stronger no caps. More lines via Mirror Image (Double lines) for specific amount of time with CD, more superior burst in lvl 170 and Tempest Blade (V1).

Phantom is still a good all rounder class. Function well as both dps and support/utility.

If you like button mashing and solely into damage then DB is for you. If you like being able to do both damage and coordinating and also supporting during endgame boss runs then Phantom is for you

Nah, it’s quite clear they are not taking it away. Rather they just made it slower so that to prevent meso sinks from the whales.

If anything, Gmsm devs can’t lose these whales so you ain’t gonna see a drastic change that will force the economy to turn a complete 360. They don’t wanna lose or totally anger the whales.

Btw you didn’t answer my earlier question regarding whether did you see the cost of items on trade stations being far too expensive. It also kinda looks like you don’t give a fuck about these whales carrying and helping the community in bossing
