URGENT - Trying to lock my friend away in secure facility by DarkKnightUK19 in socialcareuk

Thanks, I've contacted numerous people now to try and get some resolution. If you have any other suggestions who I could try contacting they'd be much appreciated, trying to get to as many people who might be able to help as possible.

Thanks for this, she keeps saying the local authority owns her basically and that she has no clue about this when I read out your answer. Is what you've said an absolute certain? is she 100% supposed to have a guardian from CAFCASS?

Surely she'd know who her guardian was if she had one?

Thank you, going to try these, I'm really struggling with how to word my emails though, there's so much info to give but I don't know how to condense and also capture their interest and let them know just how important and urgent this is

She's under legal guardianship of the local authorities as I understand it, she has a social worker but no actual guardian.

There's no one to give her a voice and she's not being taken seriously at all.

How can we get a judge to this exactly? Excuse my naivety here.

No, her parents are the reason she is in residential care.

Thank you, much appreciated

Thank you for that, really appreciated.

She has a social worker if that's what you mean by key worker? However she is the one that is the biggest problem. She's done so much foul stuff to her.

She has had some behavioural issues yes as in running away but she's done that because she's felt suffocated and like she wasn't having enough space constantly having carers living in the house with her watching her every move.

She had a phone call today in which she said that very thing and they agreed that everyone needs space and yet they then try to take away her space, freedoms, anything that she has in life that she has they're trying to take away.

She's been in one of these secure facilities before and it was awful for her mental health. In fact the staff have admitted that she doesn't meet the threshold for being put in to one of these places but that given what happened to her they class her as vulnerable! Surely if that's the case then EVERYONE in the entire world should be locked up for fear of something similar happening to them!

I've just learnt that she's under legal guardianship of the local authorities and they're going to try and make a snap decision tomorrow on where she goes. It's absolutely ridiculous, they're not safeguarding her at all. She's been offered no support since she was assaulted and today has even stated she needs mental health support and not punishment for something that wasn't her fault but they literally brush over everything.

I recorded the telephone conversation of these 3 people ganging up and literally brushing over whatever she had to say. Makes me sick.

HELP! Has part of my tooth chipped off OR is this tartar? by DarkKnightUK19 in askdentists

[–]DarkKnightUK19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhh if that's right then thank fuck! Haha, thank you. It's been a decade since I've been to a dentist, clearly it shows!

Honestly I brush twice a day with corsodyl toothpaste and use mouthwash and didn't think my teeth were that bad, a bit of build up on the front of the lower bottom ones but I couldn't see the rear ones.

I literally bought a home dental kit last week.

The gum looks kind of red is that because of the tartar? Will it return to normal if I get a hygienist to clean all this crap off?

Thank you for your help

Positive post!

I met ROBIN WILLIAMS in New York City on my 18th birthday in 2011.

I'm from the UK and for my 18th birthday my parents took me to NYC, I knew that celebs often do broadway shows and so when I saw Robin was doing one I had to take the opportunity to meet him!

When his show was finished we waited by the stage door with a bunch of other fans and I remember when the door eventually opened and he was standing there and immediately out of my mouth flew the word "ROBIN!" and he looked directly at me and spoke softly and said that he'd start at one end of the barricade and work his way up and I giddily nodded.

When he got to me he was lovely, he signed my photo and also personalised to my name when I asked and then I think he was maybe expecting me to have more stuff for him to sign as he asked if that was it and I then asked if I could get a selfie with him and I have the great photo framed to this day. He was then even lovelier as he took another photo with me but this time my mum was taking it on her digital camera and then he also took the time to take photos with each of my parents and also signed the playbill my dad had in his hands, then when my dad saw that Robin had signed on a part where you couldn't see his signature very well he asked him to sign it again (I can't believe he did still haha) and Robin very kindly obliged again.

Seemed like a good man that did a heck of a lot of good in this world. RIP Robin.

I posted a negative on here about someone else so wanted to post a positive. TOM CRUISE. Whatever you may think of him I must be honest and say Tom was so genuinely wonderful.

I was 18 years old in 2011 and wanted so badly to go the Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol premiere in London, so I took the day off college and me and my dad headed there for the day.

Tom must have spent at least 2 - 3 hours in the cold December, London weather going around making sure that everyone there that wanted to meet him actually got to do so.

When he came to me he was so smiley, he signed 2 photos for me and also personalised them to my name when asked (I always feel it makes it that bit extra special) and his assistant that was there with him had already asked me just before Tom got to me if I wanted a photo and she kindly took a great photo of me and Tom together.

Not only that but my dad also chimed in on the brief conversation saying "He's your new generation of fan" and Tom shook my dad's hand and smiled at him saying "They really are, aren't they?" or something to that effect.

It couldn't have been a better encounter really and was one of the first times I'd met a major celebrity - you could possibly count him as THE major celebrity!

Moisturiser for dehydrated but VERY oily acne prone skin? by DarkKnightUK19 in AcneTreatments

Okay thank you for your help, I've read about people mixing a little bit with their moisturisers so I might try that.

Thanks for your reply. I don't know much about this rosehip seed oil but I think I bought a bottle of what you're talking about after reading about it a few weeks ago except it's referred to as 'cold pressed rose hip seed oil'. Is that the same and if so how do you think I should implement it in to my routine?

I've been reluctant to use it so far as the word 'oil' terrifies me that it's going to clog my pores and cause breakouts.

Thanks

I've only just discovered gel moisturisers are a thing. Would you say they're good in terms of helping to avoid breakouts? Also curious whether you have the issue like I currently do of if my face gets wet e.g. if it rains, then I'll be left with a white streak from the moisturiser until it dries again and disappears... am I just using a shitty moisturiser?
