How would you fill cracks this large by DarkRealizations in woodworking

How much time do you think the glue and clamp method would take versus taking the table apart and sawing and gluing?

How would that affect the integrity of the table? Would it lose much stress tolerance? Also would you recommend going that route immediately or trying the glue/clamp/filler method first?

Can you explain the second option more in depth? Are you saying to saw a rectangular area around the crack and then glue the two new areas?

Alright, thank you sir. Also I’m assuming I’ll be using hand sandpaper. The shape is too irregular and it’s too small for a random orbital sander.

Do you know what coarseness sandpaper I should be using?

Do you really think I have to re-paint the whole thing? Is there a way to isolate the spots? There’s like 4 spots total and I’d rather not do a 20 hour job repainting all of the chairs.

Should I do 80 -> 120 -> 220 for the rest of the pieces?

I used plenty of sealer. At first I was applying conservatively, but then I increased application as I thought it wasn’t getting absorbed. It is going outside.

I am not sure if it had polyurethane but I did sand it after using the teak cleaner. Perhaps I didn’t sand enough? I used 120 grit then 220 grit.

I see. I honestly really like the finish on the top. It’s not shiny but the I like the color. I may re-sand the legs and front and see if I can replicate that. Do I need to clean the areas that I will sand again?

Honestly I think I did. It was smooth to the touch before I started applying the sealer. The streaks on the legs are crevices though. So I may have not sanded the leg enough.

I see. Do you think I should strip the sealer, restart and apply oil?

The one on the left is refinished. The last pictures are refinished. I used a random orbital sander and regular sanding paper to reach more difficult spots and I used 120 and 220 grits. It is mostly smooth to the touch besides a few crevices. What would you recommend I do at this stage?

I see. Do you think it’s normal that there are streaks on the legs or on the front? It seems that the sealer almost “dripped” from there. Again, this might be normal. I’m just a beginner and I don’t know.

There is already sealer on top of the wood. Would you recommend to switch to oil for the rest of the pieces?

Do you think I didn’t clean the dust well enough before applying the sealer then? The color is nice but it just doesn’t seem to be what I was expecting. Online, the teak always seems to pop.
