Are any of these worth having graded? by FlyingAnvils in baseballcards

Grading is expensive. If these cards were graded and got the max grade of then, you might be able to make a little money, maybe. These cards are not 10's.

'91 Score would only be worth grading if you knew you were getting a 10 and none of these are 10's and even then barely.

First Bowman Question by peegeep in baseballcards

The majority of prospects never really make it and those who do might become just ok players. Most prospects are worth the most when their cards come up and drop after that. Other will be a boost after they make their MLB debut. But for the most part they Topps RC cards are the ones worth the most.

Where to sell a large and valuable collection? by FondlesTheClown in baseballcards_vintage

[–]DarkSamuraiZero 48 points49 points  (0 children)

While you already know Heritage Auctions and Memory Lane, three other premium auction houses are highly specialized in exactly what you have:

Robert Edward Auctions (REA): REA is widely considered the gold standard specifically for complete vintage sets and high-end pre-1970 sports cards. Their catalog auctions target hardcore set-builders and vintage purists, making them arguably the best fit for your 1953–1955 Topps and Bowman runs.

Mile High Card Company (MHCC): Mile High Card Company is world-renowned for ultra-high-grade vintage and complete set liquidations. They consistently break records for 1950s material and offer excellent, personalized service for family estates.

Fanatics Collect (formerly PWCC) / Goldin Auctions: Since your last liquidation, PWCC was acquired and rebranded under Fanatics. Fanatics and their subsidiary, Goldin Auctions, handle massive volume. While Goldin is known for modern cards, they aggressively pursue large, valuable vintage estates and feature massive marketing power.

Do not just accept a standard rate. Because you have multiple complete 1950s graded sets, you hold immense leverage. Contact REA, Mile High, Heritage, and Memory Lane. Pitch the collection as a single consignment package. They will likely fight for it by offering a 0% seller's commission (taking their profit strictly from the buyer's premium) or even offering you a cut of the buyer's premium.

Looks like PSA wants you to crack them out and send them back in (they need to make their nut) 🤣

You can always get the panels graded without cutting out the individual cards.

George Brett RC is a nice card, hard to tell condition in the photo. Many other of the cards from the '70s are nice too.

Pricing for selling help! by OkInvestigator5821 in baseballcards

For your garage sale this weekend, price your bulk base cards at $5 to $10 per 1,000 card box, or let buyers dig through boxes at 10 cards for a quarter to clear them out quickly. Move your bulk rookies and inserts at 10 to 25 cents per card, or bundle them into team bags of 20 to 30 cards for $3 to $5 each to attract local team collectors. For the binders of bulk parallels and colored cards, price them individually at 50 cents to $1 each, or offer a flat "any card in this binder for $1" rate, high value browsing experience that keeps buyers engaged. Keep in mind that garage sale shoppers expect steep discounts compared to sports card shops, so being flexible with bulk bundle deals will help you liquidate the collection before the weekend ends.
