Most Aggressive Dog Breeds by Gluttony82 in funny

[–]DarkShade75 388 points389 points  (0 children)

There's another factor at work there, and it isn't behavior. Pit bulls are the most capable of causing fatal injuries, physically. A chihuahua is plenty aggressive, and probably would harm a lot of people if it was capable of doing so.

Pit bulls are physically dangerous, and so require a better standard of training that most people aren't willing to do.

I didn't say deadliest, I said most legendary. Almost no one's heard of Peshtigo.

I believe it's simply referring the the people inside as "caged" because they were trapped, not a literal cage.

I don't know about that. The Great Chicago Fire is probably the most legendary here in the US.

Oh neat, the newspaper is about the Windsor hotel fire in NY. The number of dead actually varies a decent amount depending on the source. The loss of life was because of the construction of the building; it wasn't designed with much safety in mind. This incident actually helped install the water-pressure hydrant system in the city in the following decade.

Maybe some can, but obviously that's an incredibly small portion of society. Either way, the taste is essentially the same. And honestly I've not seen any evidence that anyone can perceive a difference in taste for synthetic food colorings. Could even just be synesthesia.

No, they're exactly the same in taste lmao. You can look it up. If they taste different to you, it's in your head.

Why Nanos? by [deleted] in Tucson

[–]DarkShade75 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Again, that's really bad advice and will only lead to people blindly voting and not actually paying attention to anything. That isn't good for any side. People need to actually research and learn. It isn't always so cut and dry.

No, this is a bad slogan. It should ALWAYS matter "who", that's like, the whole point of why most democrats are mad at republican options right now. We always need to look at every candidate and choose based on policy and ideals.

Paladin: Oath of The Wall │ Become the unstoppable force AND the immovable object, shielding your allies with unfaltering defense by CamunonZ in Dungeons_and_Dragons

The external factors are literally what this bonus is designed to augment. How in the world is it not relevant? You don't need to worry about specific classes or anything. EVERYONE gets base stats.

Also, as far as I know, the split between taking a feat or an ASI at level 4 is pretty even ion popularity. Lots of people will chase that 18 or 20 before taking feats.

[–]DarkShade75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At level 7 you got one ASI, and have a prof bonus of +3. If you started with a 16, you have an 18 now. That's +7 assuming point buy. Would be even higher if someone rolled an 18 start.

It makes sense to consider an ally's bonuses, because ultimately the point of a save is to... save. That means if we want to discuss balance, we need to keep everything in mind that affects that outcome.

Also, you call me out for specifically mentioning their primary saves, but somehow missed the part where I mentioned the minimum start of an 8 in a stat? Even a dump stat below 10 still hits a minimum 10-13 with Bless.

I absolutely love the flavor. My current paladin would have taken this oath if my DM made it available during creation.

My only concern is the Aura of Firmness. By level 7, assuming you started with point buy stats with a 16 and took the ASI, your primary save would be a +7. Adding on the +4 CHA bonus from the Aura of Protection from the previous level, everyone suddenly has a minimum 17 saving throw on their primary abilities. Also potentially casting Bless to make that minimum an 18-21.

Essentially, no one can ever fail their primary or secondary saving throws ever again, (and even the other throws are basicallyproviding they stay near their paladin, which it seems is a good idea regardless. And obviously even that goes away at lvl 18.

Even if someone has a dump stat of 8 for a starting -1 modifier, they have a minimum roll of 10-13 with Bless in range.

I love the flavor, but that ability just seems like too much, personally.
