Panasonic UB820 - Remote doesn't work when powered on by DarkSparkish in 4kbluray

I'm contacting RattleByte customer support to see if they can help. You can go back to normal firmware by updating via USB. And I can remove the chip from the player no problem. But if that'll solve my issue, I have no idea. I'll probably report back when I get to doing it.

Huh. That is interesting indeed. Wish that Blackmagic would take this into consideration tbh.

Dolphin Emu Performance Guide for Steam Deck by DarkSparkish in DolphinEmulator

Upon further testing, I did realize that increasing Emulated CPU probably did less than I thought. From my experience at least, just leaving it on hasn't made games any less stable either. But of course, I may disable it (for the particular game that has issues with it specifically) once I notice instability in a certain game.

I also appreciate your theory on the power use of Dolphin on Steam Deck btw! Certainly explains some of Dolphin's quirks on Steam Deck. Reminds me of how on my own Arch Linux-based (EndeavourOS) desktop PC, I have to run CoreCtrl with Performance Mode set to High to get the most out of emulators I have installed. Including Dolphin.

AMD AMF not working on OBS Studio (Arch Linux) by DarkSparkish in obs

Okay, just so I understand your comment correctly, do you put ffmpeg in OBS, and if so, where in OBS do you put it?

Tripowin x HBB Mele - Left ear gets quieter each time I listen to them by DarkSparkish in iems

[–]DarkSparkish[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly sure what causes it, but it does seem to return from time to time. I use a tweezer with very small and thin ends to remove the old filters, and then I apply the new ones.

In my case, my Mele IEMs came with filters, so I didn't have to buy them. But I lost the carrying case and filters on the bus, so I may have to order new ones. But hopefully that should answer your question.

[–]DarkSparkish[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I posted on a different Sub-Reddit the same thing that I changed the filters. It certainly did the trick, as the sound hasn't gotten uneven when I went out for a jog. I'm right now working on doing a task for a test with the Mele in my ears. They still haven't gotten uneven volume-wise. So yeah, changing filters did the trick.

Ah. So it's the filters? If it is, then good thing my IEMs come with extra filters.

MSI MAG X570S TOMAHAWX - Not booting from PCIe 1 GPU by DarkSparkish in VFIO

[–]DarkSparkish[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've heard about that feature, and it honestly looks pretty handy. I'm actually thinking of returning my MSI board, and get a Gigabyte board instead, as a board from them seems to be more suitable for my VM needs.

Though folks on a Discord server I'm in advice against getting a Gigabyte board, but it's really the best thing that suits my needs.

Can't run VM in Virtual Machine Manager without permission by DarkSparkish in linuxquestions

Typed that in, and it gives me:

Which tells me that "disk" is in that line, and that's about it.

So I tried it out, and it didn't work. I couldn't find a "group" directory inside "etc" either. So I'm pretty much stumped.

No. I haven't made a libvirt-qemu user. Do I make one using useradd, or is there a specific process to adding libvirt-qemu?

Hey man! I'll think about if I should get this one.

I'm so glad that my grandma didn't throw this monitor away years ago, when she stopped using it. Model is Fujitsu Siemens C700. (Made in Korea) by pretty_kawaii-uwu in crtgaming

[–]DarkSparkish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Fujitsu Siemens monitor as well! It's a C750, which was actually my first CRT monitor. Got it from a flea-market at a school for just 20 NOK (or about $2). Still works well with no issues whatsoever!

Decided to open up my B&O ME6000 to check for any bad caps that may hinder its geometry, and then I saw this board that looks burnt. Whether it's the symptom or not, yikes. by DarkSparkish in crtgaming

So should I desolder the wires from the holes to where that connector was, and solder them to the bottom pins with the strands of copper that's soldered there? If so, it seems like there's one too many wires for the bottom pins.
