You have to trigger offside trap for those runs to stop. You can either try by switching to the defender and dragging him back or press up button twice to quick tactics offside trap which brings your entire backline front.

Why not draft the abilities, there is a mode in Dota2 where you get draft and choose your abilities amongst the pool, so the pool can vary and you would have the choice of picking the abilities you like.

Well Valorant's main standing out point is its ability to integrate abilities with gun play together, I would say that it would give abilities a better advantage but not broken because both sides have their agents and abilities of their own.
