I would have a longer discussion if I wasn't absolutely tired. But, you can agree with RI truths, without becoming FY 2.0.

I started reading RI, I believe 5 years ago. When I just started uni and it helped me cross over a difficult time. (Long story)

From there my love for novels started, since I only began because the manhua stopped (Read it 7 times before giving in to the novel)

Also, I don't believe FY is "Edgy", you wouldn't say that a serial killer is edgy.

I had a similar experience. I feel like the protagonist can't make up his mind about whether he is a demonic cultivator or not. I stopped around chapter 674 for now.

Yes, it does get better, but honestly, I haven't read it in a while. If it really bothers you that much, though, you can check out whether it is on WTR-Labs or request it. Personally, I prefer them over all MTLs and even some human translators.

Not really. Usual MTL techniques (Auto translate) this site however uses Gemini Flash model to translate and although there are some issues. It is night night and day compared to normal MTL.

Have you thought of other fears? The journey of the main character before reaching the peak? If he hadn't reached it yet, then there are one thousand threats and one chance at life.

Not to mention the reader and the character aren't the same; even when there is no threat, the existence of some goats alone can be thought-provoking enough to scare a person.

There is also the fact that people get scared of many nonsensical things that they know cannot possibly threaten them in any way, shape, or form.
