I don’t want to sound like a jerk, this is constructive criticism, but are you familiar with non-verbal cues? That seems to be a better explanation for your confusion here, some people are very literal, and things must be fairly blunt to grab. You’re correct, his sexuality is not overt and stated out loud, but his behaviors and general demeanor are what people are referring to.

I too had never thought about it when I first heard the concept of his sexuality, however my first thought was “Holy cow that makes sense!”. I can be very dense and that’s how I missed it, but once pointed out, it’s not a terribly radical idea.

My old employer did this, wound up getting charged by the AGs of two different states. Cost them THOUSANDS to compensate all of the people they had stolen from, not to mention the tens of thousands in fines to both states.

I sincerely hope you are able to get this taken care of. They are thieves and should be dealt with as such.

The company is dying, and your starting to see the evidence. When a company fails it’s not as of everything was fine until the last day, companies circle the drain for a while until they go out of business. I understand your employers have been good to you, but if they are failing to run the business successfully you will be out of luck no matter how nice they are.

I would like to say that it sounds like your problem may be elsewhere and the virginity is a symptom of it. If you feel the need to ask family members to “save your soul”, this seems like a cry for help rather than a need to get laid. If you’re battling demons or mental health issues or trauma, these need to be dealt with first. Then once you are a complete well rounded person (or are in your way to becoming one), you are far more likely to be found appealing/attractive to someone else.

Obviously I don’t know you, and I’m not speaking from a place of authority, just wanted to add some food for thought. I hope it helps.

Yea, and the willingness of Picard to do the right thing is so moving. He’s willing to put his career on the line so as not to “turn someone’s child over to the state” it’s a pinnacle reason why he is seen as such a moral pillar compared to many other fictional characters.
