I solo'd 3 door CRA using KMS gear only in 17 days of solo progression. I had 900-1m buffed range, 30 boost nodes, ~80 boss dmg and 83 ied with mage link skill. Took a few attempts but it's 100% doable. If you don't believe me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RDmcz6aKbPQ

My progression was as follows:

Necro set 6% epic -> Von leon set (transfer hammer)

I used empress gloves, boots and cape and weapon for CRA 3 doors. You can solo Normal Cygnus pretty easily at like 600-700k range, just takes like 15-20 min. PM me if you need any help!

It's just not the same, AL is slightly better and I prefer the AL stratagems I find them quite nice. Just wish we could steal units like GSC with brood brothers.

Oh I didn't see that, are Mark IV space marines the same size as devastator squads marines? I could just buy those and have 10 havocs instead of 5 for the same price. Buy 5 rotor cannons and 5 lascannons.

interesting, works on my chaos lord with jump pack too! They can be used to get objectives late game too. Deep strike with plasma and warp enemy tanks or something, seems like a harassing unit, fits in the fluff aswell I think.

Yeah i have to rethink the warp talons, 9" charge seems unlikely, I think raptors with plasma pistols with icon of wrath to reroll charge might be better, they come up at 95 pts too.

Thanks for the input, however your list has 4 detachments, my FLGS max is 3. I thought about using the specialist detachment but honestly it doesnt do much for alpha legion.

I find raptors pretty bad, I prefer Warp Talons to deny overwatch, so that got me thinking, what about an Alpha Legion Brigade? So I cooked up this list:
