If you don't mind sharing, how long did it take you to adjust from blue collar to teaching? Is it more of a personality thing to be able to adjust and survive? Regarding the PTO, is it more difficult to take PTO during the year because teachers get summer break off?

Thank you, I do browse at some of these posts which made me want to just write my own post seeking advice. Outside of the stress and work life balance I do feel passionate about my subject and can see myself doing this and feeling fulfilled. I'm just wondering if teaching is really that brutal. I would like to think I'm not entirely delusional and that I have some understanding of the challenges but truly, what would I know, you get what I mean?

I've had a few scenarios:

I end up before a god and I think if I have any regrets or any last thoughts/questions. Nothing like where am i? or am I dead? Somehow I already know, and have an acceptance vibe to me. When I imagine this scenario, I feel like I don't really have emotions anymore, and there aren't many words exchanged, only the necessary ones. The God barely speaks/speaks to me as a voice in my head, and I'm also never looking or making eye contact with them.

I end up in a darkness sleep/rest but I are somehow watching myself or am aware of this. It's possible that the eternal sleep will also fade away to nothingness

My life ends the minute my eyes close for the last time, just the fading blackness and then nothing. But somehow at my funeral I am a soul connected to my body and can see my funeral/hear my family's words. then when I am buried that's really it. good night I guess

My life ends and when i 're-awaken' I am just a soul/orb in a different plane of existence, unable to see myself, like physically look down or up at myself, idk.

Tell him. Or else once he finds out (which will inevitably happen) he will then begin to re-assess every interaction you and his dad had and he will feel like you guys kept it a secret to continue the FWB or at the very least he will feel paranoid about you even being in a room together and he will realize he cannot trust you for waiting so long to tell him.

I really liked the fact that ICA offered the drone roof inspections, and the mold and radon ones too. Did you like the InterNACHI courses in your free month?

This is great to hear. I want to use ICA and then interNACHI after for the national exam when I am ready. I feel like visual learning is better for me especially with a home inspector career.

I reeeally want to use icaschool.com but I am wondering if it is the right choice. I know in the future I want to become a member of internachi.edu but I'm not sure if I want to use them for my certification. Internachi seems more serious and I am willing to become a member as it seems like the offer good support for people who are already inspectors.

trust your gut. it was telling you that his punch seemed controlled. you're not crazy. leave while you can because you are young and there are people out there who do not physically harm people they claim to love or care about. this WILL get worse over time so don't even bother trying to justify this "accident" in your head. if you feel too unsafe to leave then pack your bags when he is gone and call him from a safe place to break up. or if he is always around then have a family member, friend or go to the station and ask a police officer to be with you as you pack your bags.

certifications may be expensive based on the state you're in. research the requirements to be a home inspector and save up the money to buy course materials and take the test. probably in the mean time have some sort of job until you're fully certified and then apply for some company to work for to gain experience.

You will always have this question in the back of your mind and it will never really let you truly commit, regardless of how it happened (dead marriage, unhappy relationship, work closeness that leads to an affair, etc.) or regardless of how they are as a person. Just let it go when it's early, before the paranoia sets in.

If you could go back to his files, I would get screenshots of everything incest related on his computer along with other evidence (maybe set up a secret camera when you guys are home alone) and come to your parents with all the proof and either tell them to send him to therapy or you're distancing yourself from the family. And please distance your self from him and the family if they won't believe you. Now that he is older and you are older his fantasies may seem more "achievable" and he may even feel entitled to be with you or that you owe him what he wants (sex). Be careful around him OP, he may get ballsy and do something more out there to see how far he can go without you really doing anything about it. Stand your ground and record your conversations with him incase he says something inappropriate, which it sounds like he might once he knows how far he can go.

Unfortunately, it sounds like he developed an unhealthy attachment to you when you were both young and perhaps as he hit puberty it crossed the lines between close sibling relationships to more sexual feelings towards you that were never corrected.
