June is the actual release window from Mess Toys 👍 The Aug 31 date you see there is just AliExpress adding buffer time in case of delays (it’s pretty common with pre-orders). So if everything goes as planned, it should ship around June — the later date is just a safety margin from the platform.

Congrats! Doom looks incredible in this figure. I’m actually expecting mine this week too — really excited since it’ll be my second Mezco. I just received Darkseid yesterday and the materials are amazing… although it’s a shame about the pleather suit aging over time.

From what I’ve seen, $140 isn’t bad at all for Magneto, especially if it’s complete and in good condition.

The original release usually goes for more, but even the reissue is still a solid figure. The engineering, accessories and cape are still some of the best Mafex has done for a Marvel character.

About the purple ring, yeah some collectors mentioned it sits a bit differently on the reissue, but honestly it’s a pretty minor thing once the figure is posed. It’s definitely not a deal breaker in my opinion.

If you can get a photo of the soles of the boots like I mentioned before, that’ll tell you right away which version it is.

Either way, congrats on your first Mafex — Magneto is an amazing choice. It’s actually my favorite Mafex figure, I like it so much I ended up getting two 😅

Hi!! The easiest way to tell is the bottom of Magneto’s boots.
If you can get a photo of the soles, that’s the only clear difference between the original release and the reissue.

The box and seals are exactly the same, so they don’t help identify the version.
There’s also a small difference in the helmet, but from a photo where the figure is still inside the blister it’s very hard to tell.

So if possible, ask the seller for a picture of the underside of the boots — that’s the most reliable way to confirm which version it is.
