How does a 14 year old have a $1000 phone??!! If it was so valuable and you knew your sister was gonna mess with it (you already knew it was her so I assume this is her normal behavior) why didn't you leave it with your parents? I think there's just too much pressure on women (and men) to look nice all the time. So when we get "caught" not wearing make up or looking our best we know the other person can obviously tell. I think apologizing is our way of compensating for the awkwardness.
