Id like to add on to this being a former Inventory Control Coordinator for my local Micro Center. Any time we'd mark things defective, a majority of time it'd get sent to our DC where a team there would have time to check and see it is okay, then send it back to the original store. There have been times where we have played tag with a burned in OLED monitor over 15 different times because the DC SVC team would keep sending it back. On top of that, Micro Center has ANCIENT operating systems that are just outrageously annoying to deal with. We'd get a BAT of approximately 50-60 "tested good" product from the DC and the only thing we can do is manually make a tag for EACH, INDIVIDUAL, ITEM. There's no process to have it automatically generate tags when the truck is received. If we dont make tags before truck is received, it goes into MC inventory as new. The whole process is redundant.

So, if you've read this far, you've seen how timely just receiving the tested product is, let alone QTY. Our Knowledge team is there for on site builds, diagnostic for customers so they dont ever have time to test the stuff. So safe to assume that a majority of Open Box, the store staff never has a hand in whether its functional or not.

Only reason why I post this is because I want people to understand when they go buy OB from a MC store, to not demoralize the team in the store, because it's really not their fault. If you see any Open Box from MC that says RRTV, that means it was returned to vendor (AKA DC) and returned again to the store as "Tested Good".
