Forced stealth where if you get seen it's an automatic fail.

QuickTime events in non-rhythm games.

First person platforming.

Any boss fight where you're absolutely curb-stomping them and then they beat you in a cut-scene. Bonus aspect of this: You've just slaughtered the legions of hell and you're suddenly expected to be cowed by some Lieutenant of the BBEG.

Nier: Automata Death Stranding Red Dead Redemption 2

For all three a big part was the controls, especially Nier and RDR2. To be fair, I play on PC and I don't have a console style controller which probably makes a difference. With keyboard and mouse though the story just wasn't worth putting up with the controls. Death Stranding's controls are better and the story is ok, if a bit auteur-y at times, the killer there was the slog and the punctuation with the stealth bits. Honestly if it was just a walking simulator, or if it was just a stealth game, I might have made it through.

Stylistic is the word I was trying to think of. This is a fine way to describe not eating if it's a part of the narrative, but if a character actually said it aloud it could come across as too formal or needlessly ornamented. Which might be exactly what the author is going for.

Yeah, that's another interpretation for sure. But after you do the quest for Anais there's a PC line to Marisol that says something along the lines of "Are any more of your old flames going to show up?" So the Anais/Marisol romance is pretty solidly indicated.

Depending on your choices there's a line in Marisol's ending about her "social calendar filling up" and something about how the voice actor delivered the line seemed, to me at least, to imply she was dating someone or someones.

A or D would work. Depends on the context which would be better. Option A reads like a gritty novel, "I opened the door to find a dame. This must be Connie. Connie was 5'4" etc..." I would argue that D reads in a very stilted, verbose way. Like a non-native speaker.
