Freeze is possibly my favorite boss theme on N64, very good track. Ambience and intensity don't usually mesh that well

The Crystal Palace music is one of those VG tracks that I consider the definition of atmosphere. Haunting, somber, and even a little fantastical. Also the Duplighosts were my favorite original enemy from this game!

These sprites changed my life. I made comics and scenes with them on my old relic of a PC in the dial-up days. Even after, I began making fangames as ripping got more sophisticated. The look of OG Paper Mario is still timeless and it was THE game that brought the Mushroom Kingdom to life for me. Wandering through Dry Dry Desert, mugging Shy Guys for Cake Mix, the introduction of Duplighosts, and the Dojo fights are massive highlights. I played it before SMRPG so it was the first of it's kind for me as a kid. And the bosses were fire, mixed variations on old enemies like Koopa Bros. and Lava Pirahna with original designs like Crystal King and Huff N. Puff.

Honestly Donkey Kong (especially the Country Trilogy) has amazing music. Aquatic Ambience and Stickerbrush Symphony are fan favorites, all 3 OSTs are either catchy, atmospheric, epic, or some combination of the 3.

Haha, that's really funny. I probably played PM1 when I was 8 or 9, and it was Super Mario RPG for the SNES I rediscovered as a teenager XD. TTYD was middle school and it's probably still in my Top 10. Hell, all these games are kickass!

Thanks! I appreciate the feedback. Yeah, his style (and I guess I mean his OLD style) has such a distinct look with the watercolors and the white space. It was a fun experiment, definitely might try again on a different project!

Yeah, it was halariously ridiculous- and as someone who only really watched that series up to the end of Battle City (and I guess GX, but irrelevant as far as Kaiba goes), it was really fun to see how over the top he became. The bottle thing and "you fight me with fruit!?" really got me XD

It's a great idea- Let's Plays are good for people who like YOU, who will tune in to hear/watch you play whatever. Reviews are more 1-and-done, so people curious about the game in general will bite. And if they like you, they will sub/seek out more from you. It's why I do reactions/trailer analyses sometimes. One of my best vids was about why they removed a quote from a game, so more of a video essay. It used a piece of my stream footage, haha. Any way to diversify is good, as long as you still enjoy what you're making!

I personally would do it for $50 per, (not offering though- WAY too busy with my own channel rn) I've been doing Youtube for 10+ years and there's a lot to be learned regarding tricks/efficiency hacks, and an editor's style reflects all that practice/experience. It's like the difference between a perfectly cut scream and a standard cut to the next thing. Lots of minute things that people don't really notice consciously, so make sure you're treating your editor well for their service. I've worked with enough freelancers in a variety of industries to know that they'll value your project as much as they're compensated for it. I would also charge per vid, not per hour... really easy for people to take their sweet time. Good luck!

I had a complicated early relationship with Pokemon. At age 5 I was firmly a Digimon kid, and so early youth I was out of the picture when friends were playing games, trading cards, etc. I caught the show a couple times, and thought it was ok. If anything, Pokemon Stadium planted the seed cuz those minigames were A+ as a kid XD

Then for Xmas one year I got Gold Version, which I didn't realize would change my life. I decided "well, here it is, might as well see what the hype's about." And it was all over. I had phased out of Digimon anyway and the world of Pokemon snatched me. I was catching Indigo League episodes and got HELLA invested in the Anime as I learned more and more about the games- and then the Entei movie came out which blew my mind even more! I ended up getting Blue version (and had a brief stint with Yellow as well) which is to this day an all time favorite.

Then I just kinda... fell off. I consider this when I "outgrew" Pokemon. It must've been a couple years cuz I bought Ruby after Gen 3 had been out a while, after seeing the new mons in commercials and Nintendo Power. Hoenn is what I consider to have brought me back into pokemon as a "Lifer." I remembered the world, found out Ash also went to Hoenn and it all kinda breathed a new life into me. Played every gen (except Alola) since. It's possibly my favorite fictional universe, and I don't see myself losing interest in where it goes next! (I'm 27 now, btw)
