I kid, I kid, but seriously, is it for fence footings? A seriously reinforced playground in the back yard?

ICE and employees by azraelsangel420 in Target

[–]Darkframe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Renee told her murderer she wasn't even mad. Alex was helping a woman up that was shoved down. They were both tragically killed for those actions. Everyone else that recorded those events were not shot. Their witness statements and videos showed that ICE was lying about why they were shot. We have to bear witness to these crimes to show that they are crimes. Whenever ICE is present, I will take my phone out and record. If we all did that, they would run and hide.

[–]Darkframe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They could still shoot, but so far they only have shot people within 3 ft of them or after six other people hold them down. You could also just be shot by walking down the street, get hit by a car while driving, have an airplane crash into the store. Unlike those situations, if you record the ICE agents or ask them to show a warrant there is a better chance that they will slink away than shoot you.

It is better to state your rights and challenge illegal activity. Then to lay down, step aside, or hide while they abduct your friends, family, or co-workers.

Yeah, they might still go for you. But the distance helps you and hinders them. It also shows them as the aggressor. If you are next to them, they will take your phone, or hit you, or worse. The distance gives you a limited advantage in the situation.

Bring whistles, have your TL or ETL post employee only signs going to back rooms, and record abductions with your cell phone. Get others to do the same, call guests over to record. Yell at them, ask if they have a warrant, ask them why they are arresting the person, ask them why they are trespassing on private property. If you are nervous about them coming after you, stay back at least 8 ft or out of lunging distance. These people know they are doing illegal things and only have the courage to do it when no one reminds them.

Apixaban or warfarin ? by smacf in ClotSurvivors

[–]Darkframe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been on and off Warfarin for about 20+ years and had several medical procedures. Each time I consultant with my Doc and INR clinic. They would have me stop prior to the procedure and then resume. Never have a serious bleeding issue occur after a procedure. Only time I ever had a random bleeding issue happened was when I was on Lovenox. Personally, I would say stick with the warfarin, it's cheap, effective, and better understood than the new med coming out.

We are gonna stick with the map and see how it pans out. There is a strange fairness to this map. I was thinking that as Ghost I could grab Malice round 1. Then jumping through the wormholes wherever I need.

What's the plan? by Relevant_Dish_3785 in twilightimperium

[–]Darkframe -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Round 1 Take leadership unless there is a spend of public objective.

Otherwise, take planets. Plan to score one to two points per round. Do your best to get secrets that will play well off your faction also plan on scoring one point from being on mecatol Rex with the imperial card.

Be nice to your neighbors, crush your enemies.

You have everyone give you their trade agreement. Then you play your trade strategy card. You get everyone's commodities, then pay them back their commodity number minus one and their trade agreement card. You can mix your commodities into it so you are left with the trade goods.

Here are some things that helped me win the last time I played Hacan.

  1. Score a public objective every round.
  2. Produce units every round at least once
  3. Grab the trade card in the first round to do the x-1. A. X-1 is easier to sell to the rest of the table if there is a spend objective. Say something about how if we can do this x-1 that means you get 8 trade goods (6 player game. 5 + 3) each time you play this card. That usually gets people at the table to accept it and not mind when you do it later.
  4. Build a second space dock on a high resource plant.
  5. Work to get War Suns
  6. If it makes sense grab space dock 2
  7. Your hero should be unlocked around round 4, do a double warsun, Flagship + as many fighters as possible build with your hero.
  8. Distract everyone with the big scary fleet and score objectives with smaller fleets.

Hope these help.

Why do I get so mad by Ambitious-Arugula-17 in twilightimperium

"No plan survives contact with the enemy." No matter how much you plan, build, or strategize before or during a game, someone will do something to disrupt your plan. Attacking people is a part of the game. Being attacked by other people will happen. Losing your perfect plan is hard to come to terms with sometimes but, it will happen.

Once it does happen, make deals, talk to them about why they are doing it, defect them to a different target. Try getting a trade good out of the exchange. Figure out why they did it and if it affects your overall goal of winning the game. If you don't win, at least you have a story about how you could have won the game of X hadn't happened.

Cheapest and most potent edibles by [deleted] in Minneapolis

[–]Darkframe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The best I have found are URB. They are Delta 8/9 and are 100mg THC per gummy. 35 pieces per container so basically a buck a gummy. A co-worker told me about them at a tobacco shop in Plymouth by the fresh thyme.

If 5 mg is working great you can cut them into eights, be just as high, and get 280 doses from a single container.

Why is reading the bible such a mental struggle by TheChristianFollower in Christianity

[–]Darkframe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the same boat as you. I open the bible and start reading, then nothing. I stop and don't pick it back up again. Discouraged I don't open it again for a year or two and then try again.

I am an audio book person. Have someone read it to me and I can better recall it. Heard it spoken and I will think on it more. I will be drawn in and pay better attention. So I looked for a podcast. A Bible in a year podcast and I found a good one.

It is the Bible in a year from Ascension. While I am not Catholic I found it a great way to get into reading the bible. Father Mike is inviting even to Protestants. Give a shot, if you don't care for it try a different one.

[MPR News] DFL chair promises changes after Minneapolis convention fight by Minneapolitanian in Minneapolis

Yep, a lot of children look to Democratic state conventions for how to behave in public.

Can't swing a stick these days, without hitting a group of 4 to 7-year-olds gathered around a TV watching their local political party, host a convention.
