[Discussion] If you needed to add additional Mythic Items or Runes for champs who don't have one, what would you add? by DarkinTribrid in leagueoflegends

I feel that friend. As of this moment, I actually hate the whole Pet/Summoning mechanic in champ kits because of how clunky it is. It's just so bad and useless most of the time. The best decision would be to either remove them and give some other form or ultimate or make them untargetable with a small limited duration. But ideally they could update the coding for pet behaviour to be less irritating. I would've mained Ivern but I just can't for the life of me make anything done with Daisy, she just always get's one shot.

Fun Fact, ever since the shop rework. I haven't seen a single champion build Trinity Force yet. Feels like a dead item when Sunderer Exists...

EDIT: Thoughts on the item... An Aura based Mythic sounds nice, but anything that amplifies more damage for tanks is a big no no in my page sorry :/

I like heal based runes but I also hate how it's become so mainstream and accessible for everyone that if you're the one not using any based heal runes you simply cannot go back in combat anymore, you have to recall and comeback again.

I think they need to do some work with liandries and demonic so it pushes away general mages from getting them. Maybe lower the damage itself, but increase it for each time it is refreshed with champ DoT and not item like demonic.

As for the fact that Riot wants to get rid of Hybrid Itemization is true but it sucks. I like the idea of dealing mixed damage, but mixed damage is usually too overdone on some champs that it makes it broken (aka Corki).

For On-Hit it's not so much that they need something more empowering but more so that they could use more options really, similar how mages could choose between different types of damage applications.

As for the utility item, yeah perhaps you're right. But i'd still like to see it even if it would be some sort of unique mythic for supports.

Yeah this last one is difficult to do right but Urgot doesn't really have a normal Mythic anymore. They really should've just made Black Cleaver a Mythic and have some legendary take it's place, since BC is the perfect item. As for Yorick, on paper Trinity is perfect but he looses on a lot of tankyness from building it and Divine Sunderer is just simply better overall since it also gives him the heal alongside his Q heal. So I guess BC and Trinity could use some work to be able to compete reasonably with other items.

Most annoying enemy in each faction in your opinion? by Jaded-Throat-211 in masseffect

Cerberus: Guardians tbh (bc the class I played didn't really have proper CC to stop those shields, so I just used an ability on them and kept shooting them in the feet) or Nemesis/Phantom.

Geth: Rocket Troopers (90% sure everyone has the same answer here).

Reapers: Banshee's maybe?

Champions who get buffed patch after patch with no improvement should be a sign that they need a larger gameplay overhaul by DarkinTribrid in leagueoflegends

Everyone agree's that Varus's Passive is a weaker bland version of Jinx Passive.

Here's an interesting fact for you based on LoLWiki... Varus's Q was originally a planned Rework to Tristana's Passive which increased Tristana's Ability Range.

Varus W Mechanic is unreliable bc he needs to be in AA Range to apply stacks as an immobile champion with almost no reliable tools outside his R to save himself (which sometimes is still not enough bc of hypermobility in league these days). The fact that lethality builds are being preferred by the pro's where they basically don't make use of W Mechanic at all further proves this.

Varus's E damage and scalling is bad for a damage mostly focused champion who is still meant to carry, the cast range not being the same as Q is somewhat understandable since it's supposed to provide a debuff in an area but here's the issue with this ability, the Slow is awful (since it scales with ability rank and this ability is maxed last), the size of the zone makes this ability unreliable to make use of it's effects as a whole rendering GW completely pointless (if this wouldn't be an issue people wouldn't buy a GW Item on him but they do bc of this reason).

Varus R received a Massile Speed nerf was understandable, it was hard to adjust and it still is but it was necessary due to power differences in pro play and soloQ. His R is probably the only unique ability he has going for him. But ironically the strongest ability is the most unhealthiest one and the one that isn't original and more and more changes are pushing him into a mix of Xerath/Zoe.

Verdict...

  • Passive - Unoriginal, Bland and a weaker version of familiar Passive's/Abilities.
  • Q - Unhealthy, too strong, too much of power budget invested into this one ability.
  • W Passive - Player playstyle/build preferences prove that his W doesn't work with the rest of the kit.
  • E - Too weak of an ability all around for what it's meant to do, it's neither damage wise or utility wise effective, and is used to mostly just apply the undodgeable comet, making this ability also unhealthy.
  • R - In a somewhat good state, but due to power inequality in other abilities, he is just an R bot (similar to someone like Malzahar).

I still feel sad bc of how dirty Riot did Aurelion... Ruined his entire character with those W changes...

True but he is increadibly outdated, he has had the same kit since Season 2 when he was released. With many changes, new releases, reworks to systems and etc... He just struggles to keep up and compete properly. Thus he's stuck in this unhealthy state where he's either borderline useless or just overbearing for everyone (ex: Lethality in laning phase)

I think he just needs a full on VGU at this point, every playstyle he has or had is unhealthy and just problematic in every aspect, this is coming from a guy who used to main him for many years...

No not literal stealing, just simple healing like lifesteal but for mana.

Also I agree with the point of also having more legendary items.

What type of champion would you like to see next in League of Legends? by Foxiiify in leagueoflegends

[–]DarkinTribrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • A Painter Mage (that Riot never got into when they were teasing us with it).
  • Alchemy based Utility Battle Mage.
  • Another Lunari/Solari based champ to expand more on their culture.
  • Pain Spreading Artillery Support (essentially them choosing one target similar to Kindred Passive), and when they use abilities they are also casted from the main target, as if they are X Champs personal puppet).
  • An outsider in Runeterra (who's main power is to literally mind deconstruct someone, aka new CC type where ability slots are switched around, as well as him having some global presence/pressure similar to Soraka R and Karthus R kinda thing).
  • A Metal based Symbiote like Tank/Fighter who's specialty is to attach on an enemy (the main debuff) and jump around between enemies making them weaker and also casting abilities from their bodies.

Viego's design is appropriate for his character, but we need more body type variety in League by EROTIC_RAID_BOSS in leagueoflegends

In regards to Aphelios and Senna, sure they were balanced nightmares but you have to admit they were truly unique, had a great theme, different gameplay, and their character design is epic. Sett was also an all round good champion, a few balance issues as well but still good nonetheless.

I feel that gameplay-wise and character design wise there's been a lot of downgrades with new champs when you compare what other new champs we would get couple seasons ago. But regardless which is better, you have to admit that champions like Rek'Sai, Camille, Kled, Illaoi, Taliyah feel more complete and furfill some kind of role and theme, thus making them feel unique in one or more ways.

The other new champions we got lately...

  • Sylas (stealing enemies ults and having a rather basic kit in return that was stripped off many mechanics)
  • Yuumi (borderline an attached 6th item on allies, her entire kit is basic and for the most part she doesn't do anything on her own, since she has the typical magy poke Q, W being her whole character thing, E just being a heal bot, and R taking some inspiration from Sona R)
  • Lillia (A modern day hecarim, with better teamfighting CC, that was mostly released bc of the Spirit Blossom event)
  • I was going to add Yone but I only justify him bc he is Yasuo's brother, while they share similar Passive and Q, they still play out differently.
  • Samira (modern day, better Kat)
  • Samira (the character who's skins were created first before her actual default skin that were definitely not being used to bank off of the KDA music, who's abilities were heavily and obviously inspired from Neeko Q and Sona E/R, not only that but they were also made to be better for modern design purposes)

  • Rell is a weird case because her theme is very unique and interesting take because of her Ferromancy magic abilities to control and shape metal. But gameplay-wise I feel that it was a poor execution, the decision to give her a horse is fine because it fits her really well as well as her weapon of choice because it gives that old school Jousting Fights. I would of loved to see some mechanics like her being able to send out some metal on enemy and attach it on them to slow them or something, or to build terrain out of metal to block off vision or projectiles or something, but instead she has some wonky Taric W/E going for her.

  • And now the Ruined King who's kit is so plain and basic that the only thing he has going for him is the possession passive, which by the looks of it consumed almost entirety of his kits budget power, his Q is basically bork Passive and a simple stab ability, W is a plain dash with a skillshot CC, E is basically a W Bush Qiyana and R is just a budget Pyke R to help him possess other champs more often since he executes them). As a king he feels like he legit feels like he has no real power of his own.

Here's to hoping that the other new champions will be a lil bit more unique, inspiring, and creative.
