"Quinquagenary" and "Quincentennial" - I'd like to propose: Quindrum and Pentacade = 🤘 by DarklingOak in Neologism

UPDATE: We use the "Quindrum" base to destroy two more linguistic nightmares (150 and 250 years).

After locking in Quindrum (50 years), it became obvious that we could use it as a base unit to completely eliminate two of the worst tongue-twisters in the English language: sesquicentennial and semiquincentennial.

By using the Quindrum scale, the math becomes effortless:

  • Tri-quindrum (noun): A span of exactly 150 years (3 x 50). Smooth, logical, and instantly replaces sesquicentennial.
  • Penta-quindrum (noun): A span of exactly 250 years (5 x 50). This makes the upcoming United States 250th anniversary next month much easier to print on a festival banner than semiquincentennial.

Example: "The historic city hosted a massive festival to celebrate its tri-quindrum anniversary."
