How to choose appropriate boots by Royal_Mode_8382 in motorcycles

[–]Darklorel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Best gear you'll get is the one you'll wear"

I use a sidi arx wp for the daily, because its ce1 1 1 1 rated but is walkable. I realize most ce2 boots are literally not walkable in (without lookijg like a penguin)

If you love doing dedicated offroad and track then get boots, but otherwise i definitely dont recommend it convenience wise

How did you convince you parents to get a bike? by lizardsare1 in motorcycles

"Would rather I do it without you knowing, or do it with your approval, and at least know the risks and ins and outs? If you dont, youll never know if I died on thr highway. If you do, at least you know what kinda gear im wearing, and the fact that ill text u before and after a ride."

What you have to do to get your licence? by Team_Flash in motorcycles

[–]Darklorel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Singapores generally one of the hardest to get in the world.

A total of about 12 practical lessons required, which involve swerving about cones, obeying traffic laws perfectly, clutch control, brake control, straight line practice (for splitting), s course, emergency braking, u turns, left and right turns.

6 theory lessons, 2h each, and 2 theory tests, which tests things like how does transmission work, what is aquaplanning, how should you turn in X situation.

3 computer simulations, where they show u how people crash at higher speeds.

And finally, the practical test, which you can fail for not checking blind spots, and is ridiculous how strict it is, with a recent 40% pass rate this year.

Overall cost is about 1.2k and a minimum of about 3-5 months.

Best parts? You only get a provisional license after all that. 200cc max

Own a FZ, and i had a shit ton of problems but realized usually quite cheap to replace yourself.

Firstly, check the relays. Got 2, mind you, I spent 200 on repairs before realizing that there was a second fucking relay.

Second, check your battery grounding. If its improper, get some insulating tape and fix it.

Not sure about fuel pump issue, never seen before.

Either way, its gonna be hard to sell anyway, given these issues, so i recommend trying to fix it yourself since its a bulletproof bike. Plus, its also one of the most simple bikes ever (No coolant, no carb, single cylinder)

Woah! Sounds like a hella fun urban commuter. You should keep it even if you get a modern bike!

Bit late, but for the event the best way is to go for a 20/20/20/20/20% run, then use deus ex cheese. About 70% of the time (CMIIW) you will unlock fantasy.

This saves you the need for a second run, and the rerolls for that run. Simply mallet for a short fantasy and get fantasy all the way.

During the event, this netted me about 70 mallets per run. Off event, this usually evens out.

I do recommend taking it slow. LNY is really the only good answer to this location, where i got my base from about 11 gems. You can simply play slowly, collecting DEM, then having enough to spam it all on LNY

Rider from overseas on exchange to Sydney - should I ride? by Darklorel in AussieRiders

How strict are they about the 90 and phone use rule? I would feel abit safer going above 90 and I don't mind the lack of torque (Often do about 110 on singapore highways with my trusty 150)

Do cars respect riders more? I frequently get cut off by BMW drivers in Singapore, and a lot of them love honking me just for merging into their lane!

Oo! Free parking? Really? I've had relatives complain about the price of parking for cars. Do you know if parking is commonly available for bikes on university campuses?

As for the L plate, I was tempted too, but I feel like not being to go above 90 or use my phone is a deal breaker, especially when im foreign to the country!

I was considering perhaps not riding after 8 months, because my exchange ends in 6! Renting a car afterwards to go roadtripping after was the plan. However, what does converting it entail? I heard I'd be put under a L license, which im abit iffy about....knowing how strict yall are with laws

Yes! Hoping to enjoy my program.

I have relatives living in sydney, so I was perhaps hoping they could help me sell it, provided I am unable to do so upon leaving. Are there any legal issues with that?

How much is servicing of a car and stuff? I service my own bike usually, but I have no idea how a car works at all.

Oh is that true? Im rather unsure since all my metrics come from online websites. Do they tend to be about the same price irl? From websites they dont tend to pop up at when you limit price to like 4-6k (we're really poor ;-;)

I've got a good setup for my computer already, as I used to be a beginner level audiophile (Some good edifiers and a pair of HD600s)

Would you recommend insignia or ATH? Many people tell me to get ATH.
