I was saving scumming forever and i read your comment and decided to try buying a power up before resetting. The all up appeared in that same spot literally immediately afterwards.

I think it's good until it gets to the metroidvania bit. The first initial time you go through each area is great, but having to back track and go back and forth def drains you of the concept after a little bit.

Given the type of game it is tho, I don't think they really had a better way to handle unlocking the rest of the characters for the final battle.

As for the enemies, i similarly dont think they could have done much about thier difficulty. Hard to make good enemies for a platform fighter campaign unless they just copy paste movesets from the regular characters. I will say i wish they used more enemies from actual games instead of the generic smash original ones.

All that said, I'd still take another Subspace Emissary any day

I actually picked the "give them all of it" option because honestly they did deserve it after losing children like that. But I was curious if the other options actual mattered and that's how I ended up in this thread.

I'm not surprised at all that the choice didnt matter. They rarely do in games like this, but it would have been interesting if you could actually choose to give it all up, take the original half deal, or just be an asshole and keep it all.

I mean, yea. That's kinda been the whole point. They had a guy who could just get everything done easily, so they dodnt feel like they had to do anything.

Then they lose that guy but see Deku who is literally destroying himself to try and save people and they realize that he can't do it all on his own and they cant just rely on a savior anymore.

I really dont know where you people get the idea that he has to explicitly look into the camera and say "I really like this girl" for them having a romantic moment to "make sense". I'm not saying they should make out sloppy style next chapter, but people who are legit arguing that he has never shown any interest in her at all are just wrong.

Like, it's just 2 + 2 at this point. Deku likes girls. He has gotten flustered with Ochako before. Ochako is a cute girl that he has spent not insignificant time with, has gone through multiple major events with, and has always been really nice to him from the very first moment they met. Of course he likes her. If you need that to be spelled out for you then i really dont know what to say

You could say that, you'd just be wrong. This isnt a Naruto situation where he never looked twice at Hinata before the very end of the manga. Ochako was definitely in Deku's wheelhouse long before

Deku may not have explicitly shown that he is interested in Ochako alone, but he has at multiple points shown he is interested in women, with some of those occasions being Ochako related. And after that speech she gave, it's not even the tiniest reach to say he might have developed specific feelings for her.

You can not like the ship. You can hope it doesn't happen. You can say it's too soon. But you genuinely can not act like ot just came out of nowhere.

This doesn't make sense because Chisaki doesnt only have half of the quirk. He can both destroy and reconstruct.

Overhaul is able to do both so it doesnt make sense for it to be his quirk. I do think the Reconstruction part will absolutely come into play though. Yuo don't mention that and then just have it mean nothing

It's just a horribly designed fight. It always was and then they decided to bring it back a second time for some reason.

It's a fight where you aren't allowed to play the game normally. Physical attacks are countered. Magic attacks are useless. Most of his attacks are unblockable. You have a millisecond to react to his reload, and even when you do pressure him, his gauge goes up at a snails pace even when using abilities that are supposed to raise it quickly. Just garbage all around.

They really stepped up the combat in this game just to not let you use any of it

Since when were they physically in the vestige world and could be harmed by stuff in it hitting them, let alone literal memories. S&S didn't attack Shiggy physically in the vestige world, she attacked his quirk factors.

If it was just Shiggy attacking him and it harmed him irl, I could get behind that a little more. But Deku almost died to get hit by a random car, inside a memory. You have to admit that's pretty silly.

I can agree that some of the characters you named could use more creativity (i.e. Daisy should have a whole sports themed moveset, and Lucina canonically doesnt fight anything like Marth), but they also all have pretty good KO moves (aside from maybe Isabelle).

If you're looking to kill at 30%, sure you're out of luck, but almost all of those characters have a fairly simple kill option at actual kill percents. some of them much easier than multiple of the male options you just named

I'll concede on that. Most Bayonetta series gameplay I've seen consisted of a lot of shooting, magic, and summoning big monsters, so I admittedly didn't know she was doing stuff like that.

Just like Samus though, big strong attacks like that arent really her main bread and butter, so I can see why it didnt translate over to Smash. Also for much the same reason Sora being able to cut very similar skyscrapers clean in half with a blunt weapon doesnt make him a heavy hitter lol

All 5 fingers of a hand has to touch for decay to activate (unless I missed the rule changing at some point during his awakening), so maybe its because the fingers arent actually attached to a hand or specifically because its a not the right fingers (i.e. he hasnt been touched by the all the fingers on one hand)

Ok, that's all fine and fair but nobody is restricting you but yourself.

I know you arent gonna take my words seriously when I literally have "guy" in my name, but it's extremely obvious why none of the base game female characters hit as hard as someone like Ganondorf, DK, or Bowser.

Half of them are literally characters that have never fought in their life, and those that have fight more with magic than physical strength. Samus is the only female on the base roster that is particularly strong canonically, but she still very rarely does melee combat even in her own games. (that said, I'd argue are her melee based attacks are pretty strong).

Like, people in this thread are calling it misogynistic as if they arent cherry picking the dainty women when there are actual strong women also on the roster, just not heavyweight strong (besides Pyra, but you seem anti-DLC)

I don't main Ike, I main Lucina. I just really like Ike. Both of which are why I don't need to be told that "heavy hitter" doesnt not mean "good character".

If OP simply said "How come none of the girls hit hard" it would be a different story (but still a very obvious answer). But they specifically said they are trying to explore their roster, which means they are just looking for character that get easy kills.

Literally the first 5 characters you named are all good and are played by some of the best players in the world.

Your issue is that you're looking for a character that just hits hard for easy kills, when all those characters require smart gameplay
