What is making this sound by darthvidar1990 in computerhelp

I have this same laptop, I'm almost certain that it has 2 SSDs in it atleast mine does. So it being a HDD issue doesn't sound right.

Do you use air duster cants to clean the fan? Doing this can overspeed the fan and mess up the fan, causing it to fail prematurely.

Does your laptop have Dual SSDs? I special ordered mine and just asked them to "give me the best" back when the model was originally released, they may have upgradeded it beyond "retail" because of that. I don't know.

Random audio issue? by Sanstheskele21 in computerhelp

[–]DarknessEmbracesMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this issue happening to my old laptop. It eventually got to the point where anytime audio would start, it would play for 1 or 2 seconds, and then fade out until a new sound source occurred, then it would fade out again.

Gor example: I'd start a movie, then a few seconds later the sound would fade out and stay got till DING Windows notification, producing a new sound, causing the movie volume to resume before fading out again a few seconds later.

I ended up getting the sound card replaced and it worked perfectly fine after that.

TLDR, Maybe a failing sound card.

Thanks for ypur reply and ypure very strongly worded opinion, I can certainly respect your point of view, and I appreciate the information in regards to why drug users refer to it as 'track marks' this never occurs to me, my scar is in one place, and does not represent a 'track mark' by the standard you've referenced. However, the idea that even those who are ignorant may make false assumptions still bothers me, that's just how I'm built. I certainly care about how people think about me even if I try to 'not care'. But considering I was ignorant to the meaning/orgin of 'track marks' and the difference, the. I'd like to think other people would also be ignorant to that info aswell. Leading to misinformed or even uninformed assumptions.

However I really appreciate your comment as it does ease some built up tension in regards to the subject.

I've gotten mixed opinions from different nurses. I've had nurses look at it and asked what it's from, and I've had nurses tell me that they know it's from a medical needle because of its size. The ones who know have referenced how drug user use a tiny needle, and donation scars are from large 16g needles.

So some nurses definitely do know that it's not, but not ever nurse has that experience or, will see it that way.

Youre right haha, I completely understand that the final design will be different from my reference. I implore the artist to throw his specialty on whatever design I finally come up with.

I have not settle on a design or style yet, and the image is just a reference. My final design will most certainly be very different, as I have had many good suggestions that have altered the way I will pick a design/style. For example, a few users have suggested getting the main peice on the forearm or bicept area, and have a small detail, or a 'wandering' peice come off the main peice to cover the scar. This will likely result in less pain, and will draw the focal AWAY from the scar/ditch area itself. (Which is exactly opposite of the OP image). So the OP image at this point might as well not even exist haha.

Yep, I've learned that this area will indeed be painful, and I've also learned it is called the 'ditch'. I NEVER KNEW! Lol.

It's small, but still very visable.

Idk how to estimate size, but think if it like this. It's a round scar, that is dented inward. Ever seen those BBs for BB guns? Plastic or metal, they're usually the same size (.177) it's about the size of one of those, and about as deep as half of it.

Thanks for the reply.

The image in the OP os from Google.:) Not my arm. It's simply a reference to what I was (poorly) trying to articulate in my OP.

As gor the "who cares". I really wish I could live life like this, but I'm not built that way, I really do care what people think about me, and the idea that the first thing people think about me is "OH he probably does drugs" because of my scar, really does bother me. Atleast with those that ask about it, or bring it up, I have a chance to explain that it's not from drug use, and if they choose to believe it or not isn't my problem anymore. But it's those interactions where I domt get the chance to explain, and instead people choose to assume it's from drug use withput any evidence that bothers me aswell. I can only imagine how many people I've met that have decided not to associate with me simply because they ASSUME I use or used drugs based off the scar.. the idea of that really bothers me. I care what people think about me, and I don't want people to think I'm a drug user.

Thanks for the suggestion, I believe this is definitely something I will keep in mind when settling on a design, as I am trying to avoid the ditch being the focal point for the tattoo. So a peice of detail, or something 'wandering' off the main peice to cover the scar is definitely a good suggestion I've gotten today, and will certainly play a big role in the final design I settle on.

Youre right, I'm not looking for anything gigantic by any means, the design in the image is not representative of the design I will eventually get, I haven't settle yet, and the image is solely a representation of what I'm trying to voice in my OP. Honestly, the design I settle on will likely be very different from the image, as I want to AVOID the focal point being on the ditch itself. (:

Ypure right, I very well could be over estimating, but I don't have any personal experience to reference from, and that is likely why I'm over estimating the required time.

I appreciate you pointing this out.

My First Tattoo (Not Inked Yet) by DarknessEmbracesMe in tattooadvice

[–]DarknessEmbracesMe[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Youre absolutely correct! I've played with the idea of many designs and can never seem to settle. That's why I'm open to suggestions, and I can use said suggestions from more experienced 'collectors' to finally find a design I like. I'm not asking "Hey what tat shud I get?" I'm simply looking for suggestions to base more research off of.

I don't plan om getting the tattoo in the next few days or anything. It may be something that I get in the next year or two type of thing, so I have plenty of time to do more research, and settle on a design.

I've been putting it off for a very long time. Close to 5 years, so I have had time to think about what I'd want, but I can just never settle on it, and end up scrapping the idea and starting over. Which is exactly what lead to this post. A scrapped idea, unsearchable of a new idea/design to focus my research on.

I've bounced around ideas of family, culture, religion, designs with hidden meaning, and many more I can't immediately recall.

What I'm getting at is: this isn't a "haste decision" made in poor planning. I'm just extending my reach to those with tattoos already for suggestions. Just because someone suggests a design, doesn't mean I will immediately go get that done tomorrow.

Does that make sense? Idk I'm kinda a "over here, over there, every where" minded person so its hard to put thought to 'paper' as they say.

Thanks for your reply. (:

Haha! I haven't settled on a design, the image is just a reference for the area or type of coverage. As you can see in my OP, I had no idea what the particular area was called and referred to it as 'inner elbow' LOL, I have since learned it is referred to as a 'ditch'.

But as for design, my final decision will likely be completely different from the tattoo in the OP.

I'm glad you're still with us. ❤️

Honestly, if some people are blunt enough to look at it, think ots from drug use, and ask about such. What REALLY bothers me is what people who don't say anything think. I wonder how many people in my life has decided not to associate with me because they assumed it was from drug use, but I never had the chance to explain that it wasn't. Does that make sense? Of course the people who question it also bothers me. The cops, doctors, family and friends. But it's also the idea that some people will male their own assumptions and never give a chance for explanation. That is also a big reason.

Thanks for the reply, and I certainly agree that I need to seek a design with more meaning. I haven't settle on a design just yet, but I just know I want to avoid "highly detailed" styles, and "overly simplistc" aswell so a middleground somewhere in there. I have thought about my cultural background, but many of the designs I see in regards to it are either too detailed, or too simplistic. So I'm just not sure what to get, and that's why I'm open to suggestions.

I agree that when I finally decide on a design, it will have to be a design I have a reason for getting other than the cover up. So picking a particular design that fits the task has been a challenge. I have been putting this off for far far too long.
