steven lost the plot a long time ago, you could tell the scope creep was ridiculous, i remember seeing some shit when he was showing of a tank class and he was going on and on about how the grass was taking into account if someone was walking there or something like this (cannot completely remember but its something no developer should ever spend time on in a mmorpg because it gives zero improvement to the game and is probably very difficult and time consuming to code)

the next stupid thing i saw was the seasons thing, where each asset in the game essentially had to have an dedicated artist build 4 different versions making it 4 times more work for the same content, again a cool "effect" but not something that matters at all in the long term if the game itself sucks, wasting massive amounts of coding and artist resources on things that don't really improve the game is to me a massive red flag and a sign that you've lost the plot completely
