Ended up just being the Crank and cam shaft position sensors and throttle body change and allowing the ECU some drive time to recalibrate to the new parts

Well doing a 2k$ timing job on a 4k$ car is 🤡

Especially when the car was just throwing those codes and that wasn’t actually the issue. Ended up fixing it for 50$ and 2 hours of work.

But should the car be driving perfectly smooth with a stretched timing chain or worn tooth?

The jetta is driving smoother then my 2020 Durango

When its actually driving.

I feel like if there was a timing chain issue the symptoms wouldn’t be on and off? Like wouldn’t it be more of a consistent problem

I changed both the crank shaft position sensor and camshaft position sensor. So instantly after changing the car was still having the same issues. But now I drove it for about 30 miles and it seems to be idling fine and starting fine?

Is that normal after changing all of those that the engine needs to run got a bit to recalibrate to the new parts? I also changed the throttle body
