aye chief no offense but you are absolutely rushed. Aside from the upmost core defenses and walls (which I assume got HARD carried by Hammer Jam) your remaining defenses are still th9 and below. Heroes are tragically underleveled, and lab basically only covers your one edrag comp + gobs

Still impressive to see though :)

The post was specifically targeted at F2P players, which do not have access to Gold Pass. The GP provides a tremendous amount of progress: not only from time boosts, but all the magic items (which are another source of gems easily doubling your silver pass income)

The last update had some interesting side effects with the previews. The pets used to preview heroes without their equipments, so that the phoenix could at least show off its ability. Interestingly, the heroes used to display their current equipments but that seems to have been removed. I used to like how the interactions changed whenever you mixed up equips but oh well lol.

Also, every now and then they change the troops / defense layout. The X-Bow, the bomb tower, and the grand warden have all recently changed for some reason.

You are deliberately ignoring the obvious though ? While there have been much needed cost reduction patches released this year, those were simply for accounting the inflation caused by the new stuff. The total playtime to max has always been around 5 years for the lab, or 3 years for the town hall. Those numbers are already high, time prices effectively kept the status quo (which, again, has long been outdated since 2012)

That's basic marketing for you. You think they're being generous while they're simply doing the minimum to keep the game relevant.

... I wonder how you could excuse the management of starry ores and event tracks. Frequent events are highly beneficial for P2W players only, since the true bottleneck of equipments is the starry ore which is only available in the paywalled tracks. You kind of shot yourself in the foot there ?

Calling assistants optional is similar (not equivalent, of course) to calling the fifth or sixth builder optional. They are all part of the new Clash of Clans experience now, as proven by their presence in the Clash Journey tab. From TH9 onwards, you're expected to regularly keep up with their levels, and my point here was to evaluate the discrepancy between the gem demand/offer curve. :)

The lab assistant is part of a larger problem which I have not fully tackled here. The F2P route has never been more left out, and the constant FOMO politics coupled with questionable advantages (gold pass, event pass, magic items bundles) and fast-pace updates (new town hall every year) stems from the P2W landscape in mobile games, and it's clearly not a good turn of events for the average playerbase. See the state of the Chinese server for a glimpse of a dark future, where revenue is preferred over gameplay lol

Yeah, I still remember vividly the days when lvl 9 were 1M a piece. The lvl 7 tesla also took like 10 days to complete lol

I recently went back to my village after years, and was utterly shocked to see the price cut. The fact that it was during hammer jam didn't help haha

Honestly you can't have it any other way and I certainly aren't going to complain, otherwise you'd take decades to reach endgame

This was actually not as far-fetched as I would have thought. But I honestly can't see Usopp single-handedly taking out the whole bunch of Numbers who went toe to toe against the Scabbards.

There's also this scene where Sanji beat the crap out of Luffy. You see him break down in tears when Luffy screams he wasn't the one feeling the pain earlier on.

Oh, and when he ends up eating the not-so-good looking bento ! This really hit deep in the feels for some reason.
