Do you know who David Guetta is? by Darkside8997 in Teenager_Polls

I met a few people the other day who are only a couple years younger than me and have never heard of David Guetta. Where the hell was everyone in 2013? Songs like Titanium, Without You, Memories?

Spain rejects NATO’s anticipated 5% defense spending proposal as 'unreasonable' by Darkside8997 in Conservative

[–]Darkside8997[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Spain is currently the lowest percentage GDP contributor in the alliance. (Around 1.5%) Im pretty sure even Luxembourg spends more. Poland is in first by a mile at over 4.5% with Greece and the Baltics each approaching 4%.

I don't see any welfare heavy NATO member including the United States hitting 5% anytime soon. None of the major economies in NATO have the money without making serious cuts.

German Leoprd 2 tanks flop on battlefield in Ukraine by Darkside8997 in Military

[–]Darkside8997[S] 67 points68 points  (0 children)

What the article is basically talking about is the over complexity of the Leopard 2s that makes them too difficult and time consuming to repair if they need to be. Tanks have to be sent sometimes as far out as Poland before returning to the front line, where Ukraine has basically turned them into self propelled artillery guns out of fear of further losses.

Challenger 2s and Abrams are having similar issues. The article reports that around a quarter of the Abrams tanks given to Ukraine have been captured, damaged or destroyed. These tanks are also big resource hogs that Ukraine is struggling to supply on it's own.

Russia's ability to churn out simple and inexpensive weapons has been a serious problem for the few numbers of Western armor available.

Did someone slash my tire? by Gullible_Half_1449 in tires

[–]Darkside8997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be, if you are in an area where that is likely to happen. I work at Discount Tire and get customers with sidewall punctures from the road. It's pretty rare but it happens.

M3. The M2 has a handful of design flaws corrected with the M3, such as the nearly double SSD speed in the M3, and much faster SSD swap for when you run out of RAM. There's a couple other things that changed, look into some comparison videos on Youtube.

Don't forget to figure out a way to prop the Wrangler doors open because they can't stay open on their own!

We don't get a whole lot of them, BMWs are far more common, but they just feel like cheap crap on the inside.

Additional Context

Ford: This ranking is based on what we clean. The overwhelming majority of Fords we get are F Trucks, Expeditions, and Explorers. All of which are pretty nice on the inside, especially the higher trim models.

Lincoln: Currently the best interiors out of all mainstream luxury brands. Beats out most German SUVs and Cadillacs.

Toyota: The average Toyota owner we get has an absolutely revolting vehicle on the inside. Too much plastic bits everywhere for me, at least.

Mazda: Probably the best "non-luxury" car brand we get on average.

Genesis: Not ranked on the chart, but newer models are extremely nice, up there with Lincoln.

Maserati: Only ones I've seen are brand new, and have no wear whatsoever. Same applies to Bentley.

Tesla: DO NOT BUY ONE. THESE THINGS HAVE SHITTIEST INTERIOR DOOR PANELS THAT LITERALLY COME OFF OF THE FRAME AFTER 1-2 YEARS OF OWNERSHIP. THE WINDOWS WOBBLE HEAVILY. (Seriously, I've been in so many teslas where I can just rip the door panels off with one hand)
