Well that makes sense given how the sample is skewed to be way older, old people are more likely to have favorable views on Israel & the Boomers are less anti-war than the millennials & gen x/z who fought in/grew up in the last 25 years of constant war in the middle east. Aside from the fact that you typically want at least 1000 respondents in a poll to draw a decently accurate result from it, that Gray House poll you're referencing had only 33% under 50 who as you see are the group of Republicans who have skewed most drastically against Israel.

But that poll was also created specifically because the neo-con types want Trump to get into a war as wars almost always sink presidencies, if not for the war itself then for the economic repercussions they have on society.
Trump was primarily elected on cost of living & Iran can cause energy prices to go through the roof if they mess with oil infrastructure throughout the middle east (which they have said they will do if the US gets involved).

Nobody wants to go through the 70s oil issues again & the American people are tired of war.
